Me thinks you have been told wrong!
No one knows how many gt4s/Gts in the country yet only up to 31/12/15 and production and deliveries will continue for another couple of months.
From memory there was 3 x as many Gts on the DVLA website as gt4 at 31/12/15 but I can check later exact numbers!

May well be less manuals, about 100 or so all in I was told by OPC, but not overall I'd imagine.

just had a quick look its more like double cgts to gt4 although less manual cgts than manual only gt4 but by the same argument there are less manual caymanR than manual cgts and a twice as many pdk cgts to pdk CR.

Manual Cayman GTS = 94/418
Cayman GT4 = 211

All to end of 2015, and we know a lot of GT4s were delivered in Q1 2016 along with several CGTSs. I'd exepct the GT4 number to roughly double, not sure how many more GTSs there'll be - maybe up to a total of 500ish?

Correct figures are using dvla site :
Manual cr/ total. 115/256
Manual Gts/total. 102/435
Gt4 225


But those figures are 31/12/15 so there will be more manual Gts than manual cr I expect 3x as many overall Gts to Cr

I have always found howmanyleft a little in accurate , they also take figures from dvla site but somehow get slightly wrong along the way.
Come end june the dvla site will have figures to 31/3/16 which will give a more upto date number of cars

Just a note on Zunsport grills, for those worried about the gaping holes at the front and the associated danger of a stone impact. I ordered some yesterday afternoon, 15% off with a code the provided on my intial enquiry, and delivered by parcel force today.

They look, and feel, quaility bits of kit and the customer service? Second to none.

Agreed. Fitted mine yesterday and they should have been on from new in my opinion. Poor show from Porsche on what is otherwise an awesome car.

My GTS is on the boat now and about 5-6 weeks away, so I have been watching the odd Youtube video. One thing that I don't particularly like is the burble on the overrun in sport +. Does it sound better in real life than in the video below? It sounds uncivilised and very unlike a fuel injected car.

Yes it's the only sound I'm not fond of. Hard acceleration around 4K more than makes up for it. IMO

They've clearly mic'd up the exhaust for that video, and I would say the mic is noticeably picking up the 'burble' over other sounds - it won't sound that loud or aggressive in the flesh; but as the guys say the tone of the sound itself is a fair reflection of what you'll hear. FWIW I personally enjoy the ridiculousness of the noises you can make!

Whilst I know that they backfire in the exhaust, hopefully in real life it might sound a bit better. Maybe I will find myself driving is sport instead of sport+ more of the time. It would sound much better without the backfire.

To clsrify, burbles and pops on the 981 happen whenever PSE is on, not just in Sport+
