Was down in New Forest over the weekend, and couldn't resist waking up at 5am to enjoy a lovely drive in the early morning sun with no traffic around! I did the following route: https://goo.gl/maps/zNzZxj5syss
What a fantastic route! lovely combination of long flowing corners, rises and dips, and some tight twisty sections. The car performed amazingly, and I totally fell in love with it again! the sound when hitting the red line is just savage! If anyone is in the area, I can highly recommend this route. Now sat at the desk in the big smoke, dreaming of when I can next do an early morning run again...

I had full leather on my departed 981 S, and it was really nice, gives you all the stitching on the dash etc.
That does look nice, and i guess the leather is harder wearing as a daily, most of the GTS models for sale have the leather pack rather than the GTS interior pack :s.The GTS i sat in over the weekend had GTS interior pack and carbon trim.......it felt a special place to be

Is the Sound Package Plus a standard exhaust is valves? If so i would want this, and maybe a PSE to get that childish grin
Sound Package Plus is an upgraded audio system which is cheaper than Bose. An upgraded sound system was a prerequisite if you ordered the Sat Nav. Re PSE it does divide opinion - remember that even in the "off" position it is louder than the standard system and some complain about a drone at cruising speeds (more of an issue with a manual which is lower geared in 6th than PDK is in 7th) .bcr5784 said:

Ah ok thanks. How does it sound, above someone mentioned Bose was not very good? Im guessing better audio can be fitted later. The Cayman S i have seen doesnt mention anything about having a sports exhaust but has the exhaust button on the center console (guessing for flaps), so would that be a PSE?
I really dislike drone, will have to listen to both then i think, the misses would get a headache on a long trip if it did drone.
This looks nice. Not that I am biased having got a 718 on order in Carmine

It's not necessarily that the sound quality is that bad (although I'm informed by more music-orientated people that it's not great for the money), it's more that between the tyre roar and the engine/exhaust noise, you're not going to hear much of anything....unless you're stationery in traffic.JayK12 said:

Not actually heard SPP - but as several people have commented in other threads, tyre noise at speed is intrusive so a high end audio is a bit of a waste. Re Bose , to put it in context I have an Acoustic Energy 2.1 system on my PC which cost about £100 which is in a completely different league to the Bose (Ive done a back to back test with same source music)The Cayman S i have seen doesnt mention anything about having a sports exhaust but has the exhaust button on the center console (guessing for flaps), so would that be a PSE?

If you have the button - which has a graphic showing twin tail pipes - then I would assume it has PSE.

Someone forgot to clean the front rads before the pictures....http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
It's missing Climate control (has the manual aircon), no sat nav or bluetooth phone preparation and I presume has the basic sound system. None of that may matter to you but will affect resale and therefore should be factored into the price you are prepared to pay. In any case the lack of those things gives you a lever when negotiating price. Personally I'd prefer PASM to Sports Suspension - it gives a much better ride and a wider spread of ability - pretty comfy when you want, firm control when you want.

It is nice, has the GTS interior pack? Im not sure i can bring myself to buy red though, and i dont like the rear wiper. If the wheels were platinum i think it would look alot nicer. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...
As Im buying the car to drive more on weekends Im not too worried on spec, however the wife may use it as a daily, so parking sensors, twin climite control are a must. Mobile prep/bluetooth would be handy too.
This looks nice: http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-customer/ipl/detail... but is pretty basic........

My local OPC informed me that the CGTS PSE was tuned to be more vocal than the S. I've nothing to back this up but might be worth trying them back to back to see if this is a truism and which you prefer (if any difference).
That is true - I've seen a road test that confirms that. I think it said to give a unique sound, whether louder wasn't clear - but I wouldn't be surprised.bit random....I had to remove my battery to do something in the car the other day, and when I reconnected I found i had to reprogram the windows to automatically go up/down with one touch. This I managed to do just fine with a bit of internet sleuthing and button pushing.
However, I've noticed that my indicators now make a sound all the time. I don't know if anyone noticed but the indicators on our cars go silent after a few clicks if you are in stationary traffic. I rather loved this feature and really want it back! Since disconnecting the battery I get a constant clicking!!!! Any ideas?
