Jay - That looks stunning mate. I am sure you'll enjoy every single mile smile
Thanks mate, I love it.

I want to get the Zunsport Mesh, I'm guessing the Cayman GTS will fit my Boxster GTS??

Is it just a mesh or a full grille?

Also how much is the GT4 mesh and where from?

Cheers
Jay

Zunsport is mesh, separate piece for each gap, about £200.

Next day delivery and relatively easy to fit.

Heartily recommend them.

Well took delivery of my BGTS yesterday, Firstly I am glad I went for the soft top, the noise is soon good with the hood down! Secondly the manual, the box is sublime.

Can't wait to put more miles on her smile
Glad to hear you got one sorted. Looks great!

I always connect my phone via bluetooth and just select 'Aux BT' as media type. If I plug it into the glove box, it detects as iPod and also plays though. Not sure why you're getting no sound that way frown

The GT4 mesh isn't plug and play like the Zunsport.

Will order the Zunsport mesh.

Had the self healing paint protection applied yesterday, really impressed with the finish and quality, bargain price too. Happy days smile

Also when i first start the car, it always jumps to radio, anyway to change this?

I wish I had the PPF applied to mine when I first collected it now, as I have a few lovely stone chips on the front bumper. So I've got a quote from Porsche to have these corrected and lets just say its well over a £1500 to have this corrected. So I am going to get that done and the PPF applied shortly after.

I also recommend Clearplex windscreen protection film too.

Ouch, maybe a independent paint shop would be cheaper, I'm guessing Porsche send it out or is it in house?

The place i used was Stripe Master, local to me, and 1/3 of price of Paint Shield, a friend of mine said the quality fitment looks the same, its the same self healing stuff too so i have been told.

I had the full front end, wing mirrors, around the windscreen, full sills up to the rear quarter, rear quarter flat edge down the rear bumper and the bottom section of the rear bumper corner.

This seems to be a Porsche "feature".

My Cayman did it, my GTS 991 did it, my wife's Cayenne does it.

1st world problems but really annoying - even if you turn the car off with radio off, it always comes back on.

Would people say the PPF is worth it? What kind of rough cost would I be looking at, and are there various PPF options / brands?

Both are outsourced but are approved Porsche body shops, not really sure what really if it means paying for one of the two quotes I will but I thought I front bumper would be around £500 to £750 not a few thousand. However, I guess what isn't helping is that its a pearl / metallic paint but if I was to get it done else where id loose the paintwork warrenty.

I guess we live and learn. frown

Id say so, as it would save a costly front bumper respray.

I was quoted around 6000 for the whole car or 2500 for the front end when I was looking around, which is one of the reason it put me off (Paint Shield).

Guys I paid less than £900!!

Well worth it at that price. Didn't want to pay the 2500 from Paint Shield so well chuffed.

Suntek self healing 5 year warranty.

Wow thats really good, I will look into them. Do they cover the lower plastic parts of the trim as well?

However, I need to get the stone chips corrected and the car detailed before that.

Guys name is Callum, I've used them for other products for years.

No he said it wouldn't stick to the plastics (mine are not painted)

Have you got any chips on your headlights? I might get my lights covered too.

Nope, they are all good at present. It's all the lower parts of the bumper and plastic trim which is to be expected.

Im possibly having a look at getting my plastics either skinned in Carbon or to be make from carbon, not sure if it will look "too much" on the front, but the rear diffuser in carbon would be nice smile

Thought some of you might like a couple of cars shots I had done last night. They're for a friend's forthcoming book 'Cars of Bradford'. He's shot a few others in the series which you can take a peek at over on his website - http://www.carsoftheworld.photos/

Anyway, hope you like them. I thought the retouching was pretty awesome and a nice memento of the car in years to come.

Great pics. I have to say these images aren't immediately what springs to mind when someone says "cars of Bradford" hehe

Haha, I know! I think it's the juxtaposition of the modern car scene in Bradford and the city's largely industrial architecture that appeals to him .
