Nice BGTS above!

Am I alone in thinking that the 20" Turbo wheels look a little over the top on a Cayman GTS?

I don't like them on a 981 personally, but it takes all sorts smile The wheels above are Carrera Classics just for clarity. They are quite clearly the finest wheel available for one's 981 motorcar as that's what I chose biggrinbiggrin

I agree. I'm edging towards a deal on the black GTS at Brooklands. I'm going to arrange hopefully for the wheels on the white one to be switched over to the black one. Thoughts?

I doubt they will swap the wheels. As the original spec came with those wheels. I tried this trick when I purchased our old Cayman, the OPC would have none of it..

Cheers, the wheel swap is agreed - just down to £ now..

I've just checked the Porsche network and the OPC prices for GTSs has crept up slightly. Six months ago there were a similar number of cars for sale (it seems to be around 10 at any one time) but the average price of mid-to-high £50k now seems to be £60k-ish. Not a massive jump I grant you, but noticeable.

I'm guessing those who aren't into the four pot turbo in the 718 and/or the overs of the GT4 are picking up GTSs...

Yep. Minimal depreciation on a superb driver’s car is the icing on the cake for us lucky owners

Well done, I think they look much better. I suspect that is benefit of buying outside the Porsche Retail network, where they are not very flexible.

Found this when buying mine.........GTS's were selling like hot cakes. The good spec ones seem to go straight away at asking price or near there.

We should all feel blessed owning a 981, amazing car......even more after having a 718 S for a week and a bit.

Not all OPCs must be the same. My car 981 S , bought from an OPC, was originally supplied with 20" wheels (as shown by the sticker in the door jam) but when I bought it with 720 miles on the clock (from the same OPC as originally supplied the car) it had standard 19" Cayman ones on.

Is there a way to find out how many manual Cayman GTS s were sold?

Just returning to the subject of depreciation and values, my GTS is 2 years old, sub 10k miles, quite high spec. I've owned it for a year and paid 15% off list for it. An OPC offered me 34% off list as a trade in against another car recently.

Now maybe there is some room in that price and selling it via other routes would probably yield more, but worth bearing in mind. He told me they were holding their price well and in demand, I'd hate to own one that didn't then, jeez.

OPCs are always aggressive when it comes to buying cars. Unless it was something v rare I would think.

It was posted on a GT4 thread I think? 133 or so registered in manual to 30th June. Compared to over 500 GT4s.

To end June 2016 - there will be a few more GT4s to add once we get the Q3 figures but I'm not sure any more GTSs arrived in the UK.

542 GT4

133 "Spanish" GTSs
401 PDK
534 Total GTSs

That seems alot, a friend bought a BGTS at 10% of list and a year later again sub 10k miles OPC offered 14% off list.
