Only use mine in the summer really so the P-Zero's do the job on country blasts. In cold weather it does move about quite abit at the rear.
I must be driving like an absolute flange then, p-zeros giving me no drama at present!
I was just thinking the same thing. I don't hang around but the back end has only once stepped out on me in 9 months. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough.
Me too, taking it too easy.

Cold, and exiting round abouts or mid round about in Sports Plus it likes to swing around in damp, or cold, caught me off guard a few times.
Sports Plus - yeah, have kept that off for now. Can't *wait* to wring it's neck once the weather improves.

Honestly, are you guys all driving around with PSM off??!! Even in Sport+ you don't get much slip angle before it kicks in, massive ball ache on track if you're trying to have fun with a safety net grumpy

Just sports plus mate, its tried to come around a few times on round about's, where by Iv'e had to correct it, the car wouldn't saved it, it was going each time!

BTW I'm not complaining, just thought it would be cold tyres so normal.

I do several a year so it works out cheaper to insure through Lockton who cover all TDs FOC so long as you get it authorised before. Otherwise last time I did it separately it was 0.5% of the insured value of the car, so say £300/day. You might even find it's cheaper to switch to someone like Lockton for your whole policy even if you're only doing one day.

Otherwise maybe try MORIS? https://www.moris.co.uk/Track-day-insurance

Think I used them way back in 2009 or so for my 996 C4S that I took on track

Has anyone moved from a (981) GTS to a new 911.2 model? As I am currently thinking about replacing my CGTS with a 991.2 GTS.

My OPC have very kindly allowed me to have a 911.2 for a week while it's in for a service, so that should be enough time to see how I get on with the car rather than getting overly excited on a dealer test drive and not seeing if i enjoy the driving experience.

I've currently been given ETA around September or later delievery due to the addiction of PTS.

I think you're mad mate - £40k+ extra for the new 991.2 GTS compared to a 981 GTS, plus you lose the NA.

I don't think many folk on here have done/will be doing it!

I looked at one a little while back but I struggled to find one with the options and in the colour I was after, so that's what's prompted the look on the new model.

Well after a week I'd hope you can make your own mind up!

FWIW I had 991.2 S for a day and wouldn't swap my 981S for it. The engine (turbo I know) I preferred (!) the power characterics to my NA engine (shock horror!), though the exhaust was both too loud and rather anodyne. But the handling simply isn't my thing. I simply do not like initial understeer and trail braking a road car to neutralise it isn't my thing either. And the ride was very poor (PASM vs PASM) by comparison. The extra width of a GTS would also be a deal breaker for me.

An inferior car for (more or less) twice the price imo.

Thank you for the little summary, i'll take that onboard.

That's the reason behind requesting one as its a complete unknown at present. I've never really driven a 911 for very long to be honest so it will be good to get some experience behind the wheel of one. As the only 911 car i've driven for a hour or so is a 911.1 GTS which seemed to be quieter than my CGTS but the howl was a lot more pronounced which is musical and a Turbo S for about half hour.

I only asked if I could have one while mines in for a service nothing more than that to be honest as I am considering it as an upgrade.

The thought has cross my mind about one on many occasions but rather wait to see how the market reacts to the 991.2 GT3. However, the main things to consider really is the engine as I’ve been reading about they are still going pop after a number of revisions and also Porsche changing the wording on the warranty book to exclude any engine problems from warranty repairs if the car is on a track at the point of failure.

It's also has no GTS interior package but what the hell has been done to that interior, each to their own.

It's not that every option is ticket, it's a bit unique on the interior choices. However, that's not to say it's wrong though thought it wouldn't be my choice but that's options are there for.
