Each to their own, of course! biggrin

Buckets weren't available when I ordered mine, but I would have chosen the folding ones (so I could heat them) if I could have done. That's the only thing I would change with my spec.
Agreed!

The only bucket seats available on the 981 GTS where the folding ones and to be honest with the alcantara inlays on the seats I've found you never really need the heated seats.
Ooof! Dunno! Heated seats have been a lifesaver for me quite often this winter. Car takes a while to heat up and when it's like -3 degs outside a warm seat is vry welcome until the rest of the car heats up!

Gotcha, as they weren't available for I don't know what was an option when they were.

I have alcantara Sports Seats Plus and the heated seats are awesome smile

To be fair though, I don't drive mine every day as I have to unfortunately rely on good old national rail (fail).

Just the roof is a put off for me, I've been on plenty of drives in my BGTS where I've had the roof of then put it up for a motorway, or when there is a light shower, then a few seconds to take it off again. Was really good when on the NC500 to stop and put it up when it started raining would have ment getting soaked and stopping the whole group 13 cars, then after the shower taking it of again. BGTS Manual + X73 + Buckets but with 370hp might be the ultimate, otherwise id probably skip the spider and go GT4 / GT3.
Pah! So long as you stay above 35mph or so you're fine with the roof down biggrin I once drove from Newquay to inside the M25 in an S2000 through a thunderstorm with the roof down and was dry until I hit my first set of red lights at Epsom!
Done that in my VX220T a few times, done track days with the roof of in heavy rain, but it didn't really have an interior to worry about lol. You really are pushing me towards a 981 Spyder lol.

I have the same, but really want buckets. Porsche Tequipment shows the Bucket Seats at £3950 EACH?!!! I was considering at £4K for both but £8K I properly fell of my seat!!

They were a £2000ish option on a new car for the folding version, the techquipment ones are the non-folding version I think. Crazy money for a pair aren't they?

Give Design 911 a call. I can't see them now on their site but I'm pretty sure they had non-OEM folding buckets that looked identical to the Porsche ones when I checked a few months ago while pricing up a 997R project car. Seem to remember they were about half the price of OEM

Yeah they do not look like they fold, might be wrong. I'm guessing they are not heated? I've seen some in 981 Spyders are heated. Quite like my heated seats.

This is really nice, I was very tempted to change my BGTS for it, silly i know but i think it looks awesome.........Only downside is its PDK which I was maybe tempted to re-try, but the big one is it has no heated seats, great spec but no heated seats?! - Anyone know the colour of this car?

Im keeping looking to change but nothing ticks all the boxes, only things are Spyder or GT4. I might just change my wheels or wrap it in Agate grey when i get bored so it looks like i have a different car lol.

My folding buckets were heated as standard here in Australia. They were the same price as 18 way, so after much deliberation I took the punt and changed to them. I am so glad I did now, they are brilliant and really make the interior of the car special.

Tequipment versions won't fold and won't heat. 981 Spyders had folding buckets as an option, like the GTS, so they could be heated.

Just had a warning showing PADM OPC will sort it but it will be the second dynamic mount failure in 2.5 years and 9k miles!

Anyone else had a problem with these engine mounts?

Just had a quick look at the OPC used car list and a few more CGTSs have come up for sale. Looking at the asking prices though, they've started to creep up. Just a couple below £50k (with higher mileage) and everything else is in the £60k bracket bar one heavily loaded example at £73k.

It'll be interesting to see how they fare over the next few months as the weather picks up.

But ask yourself, would you have fallen off the seat if it was a folding bucket?

Try google. I saw a discussion about this on another forum when I was trying to understand what PADM does. Apparently it's a known issue and covered under warranty. Seems like it's just a sensor malfunction in most cases.

It's interesting to me and I'm sure other owners/future owners too.

I agree. Never going to mind a discussion about values. I know I got a little bit slated for asking about mileage sensitivity recently, but if you look at the GTSs for sale through the OPC network, the prices are impossible to rationalise...the only thing being a certainty is that the high(er) mileage ones are at the lowest end of the scale.

The one for £75k seems a touch optimistic. I know it has PCCB and more pricey seats, but is that really worth £10k more than a similar mileage 2015 car??

It has a ton of other options too which I think is "supporting" the higher price. You'd have to really want them all to pay the £10k premium though!

I think they are mileage sensitive to a degree as the youngest cars are still under a year old so anything 18 months older with more usage is going to be cheaper. It will even out as all the cars get older the difference between 30k and 20k is not so much of an issue as that between 2k (which is almost brand new) and 12k.

And for all it's options (that you could argue are intended to make it more of a pleasure to live with) the original owner has not gone the PDK route. Seems to slightly jar with the 'all the options ticked' type of approach to the car, but ho hum!

I know a lot is said about Porsche owners and values (well - any premium marque, really), but I own a 1958 Beetle that has (almost) doubled in value since I bought it a few years back. Percentage-wise, my Beetle has performed like a modern-day halo car. Ha ha. And if you REALLY want a laugh, have a look at the way prices have gone for 50's-60's split-window VW campers lately...some absolute maniac just paid a quarter of a million pounds for one at auction!!!*
