Is that a PDK thing? As I don't have it on my manual GTS
PDK with chrono. My S lights up when selecting sport, or sport+.

This was my first one, I went from PDK to manual and back to PDK.

My car turned two on Wednesday and what a epic two years its been, i've just collected the car after its first service and it still makes me smile every time I drive it.

Very nice and looks great spec.

Are you tempted to switch into the new 718 GTS when it's launched ?

I've not seen a single CGTS owner here on PH say they'd do that, so if there is one they should speak up!

I won't be swapping mine, only a new GT4 would tempt me to change.

Hi Fizzbomb

I remember you having owned several Cayman R's as well, do you rate the GTS as a better car than the R?

My thoughts exactly, the current CGTS with be a one off and very much sort after as the years pass. The new GT4 is next on my list providing it's a flat 6 with PDK.

Decided the same, stopped looking at everything after really debating a 981 GT4, and if the 718 GT4 is the same power unit as the 718 S, i won't be interested.

Yep, it would need to be a flat six NA of course. If I don't get an allocation I'll keep the CGTS, it's a simple as that.

I briefly considered a 981 GT4 but I'm not paying the £15-20k overs,

Thank you, I have no interest in a 718 so I won't be making the switch unfortunately.

However, that said I am currently considering a 991.2 GTS which I am waiting for the demo car to arrive but that said I am completely undecided.

I've started thinking if the 718 GT4 will be the same power unit as the 718 range, and I dont fancy paying overs on a GT4, I maybe tempted in 2 years when mine reaches 4 years of age to start making the changes I want to it and just keep it.

718/982 GT4 is likely to be NASP based on APs comments at Geneva this year. I was expecting a 4-pot turbo to be honest, but he does seem convinced we'll have another GT4 and it will be NASP.

Probably around 2 years until one's likely to appear though, so lets wait and see what the spy shots bring...

No Probs .
Having owned many Porsches I'd say VFM and an 'all you need' car I'd be tempted to stick with the Cayman

To be honest, having had 6 Cayman Rs all at once only happened because I could not get over the fact how perfect the car was, I would have added even more to the collection, but I thought that it's becoming too much to handle. I then tried the CGTS and I have to admit, it is a better car, only marginally, but it lacks something compared to the R, I don't know what it is though. Lastly, I have had 3 CGTS (different transmissions and setup) to really gauge the difference, but luckily not all at once!

Hi all, I'm currently looking at a Cayman GTS and the only thing it hasn't got that I want is the black gloss rear diffuser and bit above the splitter on the front bumper. My understanding is that this is option was called the "Black GTS exterior package".

I'll ask the OPC tomorrow, but am wondering if anyone knows if this can be retrofitted as it's not on the tequipment list and rough price or if anyone has had theirs wrapped?

It is called the 'GTS exterior package', and it looks really nice. However, I have come across an example in the past with many stone chips, then it starts looking really horrible.

Thanks, excellent point. I hadn't considered that. It does look really nice though! spin

More important for me was having the GTS interior package, made the interior look really special.
