Interesting. I thought the steering was ultimately the same between standard and GTS? Did the GTS have the sport chassis option (non PASM)?

The car had PASM (as does my gen 2). The Silverstone guys said the front suspension had been tweaked on the GTS vs the S, which contributed to the difference in feel. It really was quite different in weight.

It sounds epic just from standstill.

Does it automatically rev up at start, like e.g. F Type and other supercar?
Ohhh the lower part of the wing mirrors painted in black — I kind of like that. Is that standard GTS?

Might nick that idea for my 987.2

Interesting, maybe I really must get hold of a GTS with sport suspension before making a call in this. I can't afford a £60k mistake!

Hopefully you'll be able to find one to try, PASM is standard and seems to be what the dealers will have - Silverstone don't even have an optional sport chassis GTS yet (although they do have a sport chassis Boxster GTS).

Hope you get to try one, I'm sure you'll like it smile

Standard though you can option of gloss black or colour coded.

IMO the matt black flows with the front, rear and side bits ....

I've got the sports chassis on my 4 month old CS, and love it. I doubt you'll regret it!

Custard, what about ramp and other road bumps, how have you been founding the ride height of this specced car, too low for uk roads?

Have you taken it in a multi storey? Are there any issues with the front scraping at all?

Can you tell us more about the ride, as we all know how great a state our roads are for all of the 'Road' Tax we pay these days. Really want to gather as much intel' on the day-to-day compromise there may or may not be with the x73.

I was in the City over the weekend and couldn't believe how rutted the roads where - it was like I was doing a slalom test - trying to donge the potholes and exposed manhole covers!! - jeez!

Exactly the reason I stuck with PASM rather than X73. I think I may regret it though.

OK, it has been a real struggle with the dealer but it looks like mine is sitting at Porsche Reading and will be picking it up tomorrow............ expect more photos then.

You would have thought they could take a couple more but the poor girl strugles with technology and email hmmmmmmm

It is a trim level, not a special edition, as it is for the Cayenne and Panamera. Porsche expects 15% of Boxsters/Caymans sold will be a GTS.

I am pretty sure I have given in and configured/bought a GTS. I can't really decide between the Alcantara and leather. I am used to leather but the Alcantara looks good on the web site. I am trying to get to see one before the customer pick but thought I see what others have chosen and why.
