Leather, more class and better wear wise IMO...

Alcantara (Ultrasuede made in Italy)

Because it makes the car look soooo racing.

Leather is for luxury cars.

And I hate glossy-worn steering wheels.

Anyway GTS pack is a good trade off of leather and alcantara, the main decision is on steering wheel, imo: leather or alcantara? second one as above.

A glossy steering wheel can be flatted down with a damp micro fibre cloth.

An alcantara wheel WILL bobble and wear thin. For a road car, I couldn't believe the state of mine at only 13k miles. Don't do it.

only if you have sweaty hands.

had 3 cars with alcantara wheel no bobbles and the extra feel you get is great
alcantara wins for me esp on seats.

It may bobble, but you van revitalise most Alcantara with unscented baby wipes.

I have the Adaptive Sports Seats (18 way adjustable) in my Cayman S. They are all leather, no Alcantara but I guess they are otherwise the same. They seem fine to sit in but the main reason I chose them was for the electric adjustment with memory including the steering column. There are two of us that regularly drive the car and the convenience of everything going to the correct position when you unlock the car is nice. The memory function can be associated to the key. It used to drive me crazy in my old car to have to jack the seat back down etc., after the other half had been driving it.

I also like how the seat moves rearward and the steering wheel raises when you remove the key to give you more room to get out and in.

Have the same as you.

My wife memorised her settings on 1, using her key, which seemed to be 1 on my key as well? First world problems and all that but unlike my bmw the memory seems to be same across keys, not per key?

You can set the memory to the numbered buttons on the door and the keys. Its explained in the Good to Know iPhone App under Driver Memory Package. The key is good because it moves the seat and wheel before you get in, rather than after you get in and push the button.

I ordered GTS pack so will have the Alcantara seats and steering wheel.

Previously had a Lotus S160 with Alcantara seats and the benefit was that you do not slide about under cornering. Also have the adaptive seats which I tried on the Porsche Experience day and they hold you in very firmly.

I did want the bucket seats but as my other half will also be driving now and again the buckets were too low as they have no height adjustment.

Should have mine by 24th July.

I didn't buy the satnav, saw no point as it looks a bit st and will go out of date instantly.

We tend to use Google maps on the phone or tablet.

Me too. This is a sports car and will be driven as such. No nav or phone prep and a bog standard stereo.

Spent the money on PTV, PDK and will keep the rest for a BBK if I decide to track the car more heavily later.

Part of me regrets not going X73 and manual. Well, most of me... :-)

Fair enough, but it will reduce your market come resale. Most makes and models in CAP/Glasses have an extra deduction for no nav.

At £60K, I'm not really all that concerned with resale. If I'm worried about poor resale towards the end of term, I'll use the CCA.

Does it reduce the value by more than £2k?

If not then we have made money

correct the guides only say 1k so you are still 1k up if you don't spec it.

I don't understand how a nice stereo detracts from a car being considered a "drivers car".

The standard stereo system weighs 2.55kg and the Burmester is 6.55 so only an additional 4kg and it sounds so much better. Granted you can only have it with PCM.

You don't need to spec. PCM for SPP, BOSE or Burmester. I wont use it, so why pay for it?

If this was a daily driver, I'd have spec'd PDLS+, Burmester, heated seats, PCM, 2-zone air con, Phone Prep and Parking sensors in addition.

That car is £7.5K more expensive, though.
