Mine will be a daily. Torn between the Leather and Alcantara. Ive looked on the net at some of the GTS in other forms of Porsche and they still look great, but they are not high miles.

interesting comments about the Nav, Sports bucket seats by far the most cost on my spec so far.

Would opt for
alcantara: I love the racing feel, it sticks your hands and ass to the car.
sat nav: I need a nav system into that big screen, it is really a plus.
x73: I'm sure I would regret it after month of pasm use.
buckets: love them, lightweigth solution and as above I would regret them after a couple of months.

Can you "delete" the white rear lights on the GTS, or are you stuck with swapping them later? I think they really ruin the look of the rear of the car IMHO.

No, for me this is a point of difference with standard Cayman, and I like the smoke lens.

Mine is a September build and specced manual, X73, PCCB and Buckets. Not a DD but will do some touring as well as weekends.

Hi guys, I'm new to this thread.
Apart from GT3's, do you think the Cayman GTS is the best naturally-aspirated Porsche with a manual gearbox we can get ?

I test drove a 997 GTS and was pretty disappointed with the engine sound even though PSE is standard (much preferred the 997 MK1 PSE sound)

But this Cayman GTS... it must be a thrill to drive and the perfect balance !

Its the lack of perfect balance in the 911 which I love so much though. smile
But the new PSE sounds awesome, so much pops and bangs. biggrin

Agreed the 997.2 cars even with PSE sounded pretty poor and too quiet, my 997.1 C2S with PSE with always on mod and high-flow cats sounds amazing. biggrin

Yes, for sure the new PSE on 991 sounds fantastic compared to the 997.2 one.
I just love the design of the 981 Cayman..
Many of my friends who owned 911's are now about to trade them for the new Cayman.

Well I now have a big empty garage after dropping my Cayman off yesterday. To be filled again in September/October with a nice new GTS, cant wait!

Me too. In my eyes, it's the best looking car in current Porsche range. My brand new 2.7 cost the same as a BMW 3 series diesel....

Got mine a couple of days ago and have been having a great time whizzing about at 5k RPM and thought I would post a few pics from the phone.

I keep meaning to get some decent photos and the SLR is in the car but having to much fun driving to stop and take proper photos.

Great looking GTS ! Congratulations
I love the fact that the few owners here got their Cayman GTS in "flashy" colors, I mean different of white/grey/black.

Congrats!
Are you sure you can keep those seats clean for more than 500 miles? ^_^
