Sure they most probably won't be mint but will stay reasonable, the last 4 cars I've had have all been light leather and isn't as problem.

I should have gone for the amber/agate but the misses wasn't so keen.

Great looking GTS ! Congratulations
I love the fact that the few owners here got their Cayman GTS in "flashy" colors, I mean different of white/grey/black.
Yes totally agree though to be fair white grey and black do look good.....

Gents, today I've been told by a OPC dealer that oil consumption in a Cayman S is about 1 liter per 3k miles, really 0_0?

Sorry for this OT question, you know I'm interested in a GTS, this could be a critical point.

I am sure its a standard answer of 'it could use up to' so when you put a small amount in you don't complain. My Cayman S (gen 2) didn't use any between yearly oil changes, so I am expecting the GTS to be the same!

It might do if it's not run in properly, like Porsche demonstrators.. Mine's approaching 20,000 miles and barely used a drop (2.7 engine).

Any additional oil between services?
He told me service is due every 20k miles / 2 years.... a lot of oil usage in 20k miles according to him.

8.5 liters as engine oil capacity is the right value?

Nope, not needed to top it up at all. Service indicator is showing first visit to the dealer due at 21,800 miles (was much longer until an alpine tour last month)- I'm sending it in @ 20,000 however.

Congrats. What was the final spec?

For our new owners - How does it drive? And how does it sound?

Went Rhodium Silver, Satin Platinum, PDK, PTV, Light Design Package and that was it.

Dropped:

PCCB
Manual
X73

As my car is purely a weekend and possibly track toy, I thought I might use the money saved on a BBK and tyres. Car came with PZeros, which are good, but I would have preferred MPSS.

Might regret the X73, but with no drive as reference, I'm very happy with the car. The exhaust is LOUD, in a very good way, and the car is plenty fast to keep me happy. Feels good for every one of those 340 horsepower. Coming off a NSL road and into a 40 when the car was in Sports Plus resulted in an almighty down shift from 5th to 2nd. There was a woman up the street walking her child in a buggy and she lent down to cover his ears!

I had a 07 Boxster S and 08 Cayman S previously, and this car feels much more rigid. Turn in and mid corner balance is significantly improved and the car just grips and grips. Car is also more comfortable than the 987 models, even with PASM in Sport.

The GTS is so much more desirable than any other 981. It's a genuine competitor to the R for me, which is saying something.

Wow it is exactly the colour combo I would opt for. And for interiors, yes carmine red GTS package will deliver a touch of racing that I think is missing in the standard config.

No sport chassis right?

Are MPSS available? I though there were only Eagle F1s and PZeros

Many congrats again.

I really like Rhodium - it captures the light fantastically, and on clear days will look a lot more blue.

I think the MPSS was co-developed with Porsche, BMW M and Ferrari as partners. Pretty sure you can get an N rated MPSS.
