By the way, I have a test drive at Silverstone booked for Thursday, the 7th of August, at 10:45. Anyone at the same slot?

Well should have picked up my Boxster GTS (Tuesday) but at mid day yesterday informed that it was not at the dealership as Porsche had decided that as only 3 cars were on the transporter they would wait until they had six.

Now been informed that transporter has broken down and no date this week when I may have the car.

Not a good start to the "Porsche Experience", maybe I should have stayed with AM.

Frustrating but it will be worth the wait. Had a blast in my Cayman this morning, amazing....

Wow it is exactly the colour combo I would opt for. And for interiors, yes carmine red GTS package will deliver a touch of racing that I think is missing in the standard config.

No sport chassis right?

Are MPSS available? I though there were only Eagle F1s and PZeros

Many congrats again.

CJP80, A lovely colour combo indeed. Is that the Rhodium silver or GT silver?

I have the Pirelli PZeros on mine, really loved the Michelin Pilot Sports on my old car, so will have to see how these pan out.

Finally run the car in (see below), the PSE is really loosing up now Sport is engaged from time-to-time, the noise and overrun burble is fantastic! Got Silverstone booked at the start of next month, can't wait to learn how to drive it!

Yes, Rhodium Silver. I'm struggling to keep the car in a sensible RPM range. :-)

That oil pressure looks a tad low

It's sad that knowing it has an oil pressure gauge and an oil temp gauge makes me want one sooooooo much more...

So only 1600rpm at 60mph and a range of near 500 miles! For a car of this performance, that's amazing
I really like the 981 multi-function display, probably the thing that impressed me initially when I drove one for the first time

Great, thanks for this quick response. biggrin

Like the fact that it is possible to monitor every temp/press/volt.

It is possible to have that display config always in, isn't it?

Last saturday I struggled to get that config in a Cayman demo.

Just found mine shows speed limit of the road you are on. Standard?

I have my 4th customisable one showing height. Entirely pointless but mildly interesting!

I don't have PCM or speed limit display, both of which are options.

If the system is the same as in the Cayenne — and I’m pretty sure it is because it looks identical — it will show you the speed limits as saved in the PCM’s navigation map memory. That’s standard with PCM. Very useful and I’m sure it has saved me a few times when I thought I’m on a derestricted part of the Autobahn but it was actually a 100 km/h zone.

The additional speed limit option adds sign recognition via the camera in front of the rear view mirror. Arguably that is more accurate as it can also recognise temporary signs as well as other road signs but I wonder how well it works in snow, fog and rain.
