When I spec'd mine I went for the folding mirrors due mainly to the fact I live in a rural area with the narrow lanes that go with that. The sales guy thought they were mainly for parking and would not fold whilst on the move, I was please to find this was wrong and you can fold and unfold them whilst on the move and they will stay in the selected position even at speed. Really handy when you meet a tractor or other large vehicle in a country lane...
The 'contribution' means bugger all as it doesn't even neutralise the profit they make on the finance.
I would be amazed if at least £2-3k isn't available if you are prepared to take some time. These cars carry absolutely massive profit margins if Porsches accounts are to be believed!

I have the Pirelli PZeros on mine, really loved the Michelin Pilot Sports on my old car, so will have to see how these pan out.
I am on my second set of P Zeros on my 20" 981. I too loved the MPS, but have found the P Zero's as good. Got nearly 30K out of the set too!Don't think the MPS 20" are 'N' rated yet for the sizes required for the 981's.
I've noticed one on the Porsche Approved Used , and apparently there's another 3 or so for sale already.
Might want to have a look what price they are - may be more discount on a pre-reg one.
Eta - Glasgow, and it's white.

According to the latest Autocar, average profit per Porsche is around £15k euros......same as per Bentley........I would be amazed if at least £2-3k isn't available if you are prepared to take some time. These cars carry absolutely massive profit margins if Porsches accounts are to be believed!

That's what I had in mind, too. Presumably, the margin varies a lot across the models, but I doubt that the GTS is a low-profit car.I expect the profits are much much higher on highly-specced cars than on the base models with Spartan spec, but I guess that overall Porsche makes huge margins on the Cayenne and modest margins on the GT3, with everything else falling in the middle somewhere.
I have always thought that the Turbo was fairly well-priced, but maybe that is only relative to the absurdly expensive exotica to which it is comparable.
Has anyone gone with GTS External / Internal packs. As I have the internal on my current configuration but not sure if it should be red or silver on a white car, my current opinion is the silver is better but id rather white dials.
Also my two other questions are:
PDK or Manual
PASM or Sports Chassis
This is my current configuration: http://www.porsche.com/microsite/porsche-code/?c=/...

The GTS interior seems very much too expensive. To be honest, I don't like it anyway
No strong opinions about the exterior pack, might look good but I've never seen one and the online configuration program doesn't show it very well
My personal choice is the PDK. It's by far the best auto 'box I've ever used. It allows average drivers to experience the power of the Porsche. If you have the skills to extract good performance from the manual, you may well enjoy that more
Most reports say the sports chassis is brilliant. But then, the PASM is also brilliant and gives you the option to vary the ride height if you want a more comfortable ride over less than perfect roads
edit: just looked at your build spec
I drove a white Cayman as a loan car for a few days, was quite shocked to see the paintwork 'crazing' around the rear wheel arches. And it needed a wash after every drive!
The bucket seats and GTS interior will certainly give you a proper GTS.

If I could go back in time, I'd go manual and X73.
Purchase was originally going to be a daily use car. Half way through my order decided it would be for the weekends and kept my 330d for the DD. Was scared about x73 being too stiff and damage to front bumper, etc. In reality, doesn't matter now and I'm sure it's a better set up than PASM. Was also talked out of manual by stories of long gearing and poor resale. The manual does have longer gearing than the PDK, but the car is fast enough that you don't have to rev to 7800rpm to enjoy it. It's therefore not as much of a concern either. PDK is excellent, but also expensive.
