Off early Sat morning for our first decent trip in the GTS. Off down to Salcombe, which will be our base for the week, then day trips from there.

Looking forward to spending some quality time with the car. Oh and the wife lol.....

Got mine and just running it in. Drove it up to Knockhill for this weekends racing. Up to 600m so far so should be run in by the time we get home. Can't wait.

Only using 5k revs but still revelling in how much fun it is. An awesome car.

Happy to oblige. Sorry it's such an awful looking car and has a horrendous red dial. Wish I'd gone for an S instead. Oh well, maybe next time. At least it has X73 on it laugh

Don't knock the S. The GTS may or may not be value for money dependent upon which options you prefer.

The list price terrifies me though relative to the price of a lightly used car.

The S is brilliant. If someone was in the market for a NEW car now it makes sense to look at the GTS if you would have specced options like PASM, PSE and extended leather anyway.

But, yeah, best value for outlay decision for a car right now - is obviously to see if you can find a lightly used S that meets your requirements.

Just depends on what you want. New and your exact spec at a premium, or lightly used and potentially save some money.

Can't say as yet as we're not picking it up until the 1st but I've got them in a Cayman R and love them in that.

Off to PEC tomorrow morning, so I'll hopefully drive an X73 car back to back with my own PASM equipped version. I'm going to avoid manuals if they have any! Joking aside, I'm now getting on well with PDK, which is basically always in manual with S+ and if I'm lazy or tired, Sport with Auto.

I think isuk was just joking regarding the 's' as we had a troll earlier knocking the GTS.

I specc'd and ordered my 2.7 Cayman back in Jan 2013 and took delivery last April. I set myself a very tight budget of £46,000 and managed to spec very lightly (PCM, 20" wheels, SSplus, twin exhaust, manual box...that was it).

As said by Budweiser earlier in this thread....once you pick these cars up and drive them...it really doesn't matter what spec you choose...they are just great cars!! I can honestly say, there isn't another car that would suit my needs more than this at the moment....nearly 40K on the clock now.... I am totally satisfied!

So chaps, long weekend coming....enjoy your 981's !!!
