Here is the scenario .

Two highly respected independents selling Boxster 2.7 987.

Boxster 2005 top spec 61k FSH. New clutch. £10995. 3 months warranty

Boxster 2004 same spec 45k. FSH. £14995. 1 years warranty

Both indies have I would say the best reputation of all the indies, but can there be a £4k difference in the two cars.

Having bought from the first listed dealer I know they do not sell bad or poorly presented cars.

The second dealer has the reputation of presenting their cars better than any other indie.

But a £4k premium!!!

£1k for the age
£1k for the mileage
£1k for the warranty

There - that looks closer. And what we don't know is how much it cost them to get the cars in to start with.

Given that the more expensive car is older it should be less not more.

Where are the indies?

Cars are more expensive in some areas than others.
