Thanks! Yes, I believe it is called Viper Green. I know it's a bit of a marmite colour but I love it and had a very positive response at the caring with cars show last week

I hate to be a pedant but it will be Porsche Green. It is often referred to as Viper, but that is an old 70s colour, which to be fair is very similar.

Even main dealers do it!

Viper does sound better though! smile

Thanks, I was only going by what OPC told me it was.

Quick update with my Cayman,

A few aesthetic changes, rear badge changed to a black one, picked up 2 new side grilles today (black) and mirrors will follow next month. Also bought a new steering wheel and had it re trimmed in alcantara with green stitching (the original carbon fibre wheel got insanely hot in the sun and also not good with sweaty palms on track). Also lashed out on 4 new Michelin Super Sports

A few performance mods next week, bought this exhaust

Then an IPD & 82mm TB and also a short shifter to follow

Lovely looking car! Bet you're glad to see the back of that comedy steering wheel.

Yes it had to go (although I will keep it just in case the next owner wants to return the car to how it left the factory). Am tempted to get the handbrake and gear shift gaitor done to match now

Lovely looking car, mate.

Did you buy it from an OPC?

I notice it has Gen 2 alloys on it...did the previous buyer pop them on or did you?

Cheers matey!, no I bought it from a friend (he bought it from OPC Bristol), Had the wheels on from new but it is a late 2009 model so I guess they threw the gen 2 wheels on it with the special paint order??

Original quote for napa leather was £120 but then I changed to alcantara and added green stitching and the matching 12 o'clock ring and the total bill was £140 and took a week to do.
They also offer a replacement wheel service if your car is a daily driver.

Been quoted £50 to get the handbrake and gearshift gaitor done in matching trim

I remember when I bought my brand new gen 2 Cayman ...one of the first back in 2009...the recession was just kicking in.

You could get a cracking deal on the Cayman S Sport (same colour as yours plus orange ones too I think). Yours will look just the same once you've painted the mirrors and vents black.

Great to see you doing some mods....one of the luxuries of being out of Porsche warranty!

Cheers

The grilles were just under £70 for the pair from OPC Bristol and come in primed form (I have a friend in the industry who is spraying for me)

did that to my old 2005 Cayman :-)

looks loads better for it. Of course Porsche then pinched my idea and made the S sport and black packs.

Cool, how difficult is it to take the mirror covers off?
