Moose you are right about the boxster clutch. I went to have a look at and have a test drive of this one today

The clutch was fine, I suspect that the clutch was worn on the previous ones that I drove.

The car was for sale in a village garage in Norfolk, they we happy for me to examine it thoroughly and test drive it. It is in very nice condition.
Had a wonderful run out in it, handles beautifully.

Result - I have bought it, looking forward to runs around East Anglia with the roof down.
Congrats, although you said you wanted a tip??!

Did you manage to get any money off - that seems to be 2003 money.

Looks very nice - and with ambers smile I don't think that price is too far off - get it checked over thoroughly while you still have some chance of getting anything fixed under dealer warranty (or SOGA)..

Last May, I traded my lovely facelift S (midnight blue with full leather) 40k miles, I had from new (£46k) . Lots of money spent BUT a nasty scrape down passenger door from a car park pillar.

I received £8k against a 987.2 S with 5 k miles. I was gutted, but that seems the value

Once the body damage repaired, this will be good buy for someone.

Btw, the PDK 987 is a step change better car, at least for what I need, commuting out of London

Boxster 3.2 now in her new home in Suffolk

Engine sounds lovely.

Very different after driving 924's for the last few years.

This one's a 2000 3.2? - anyway, pre-facelift cars are nicer looking smile

Now done about 50 miles and she seems fine. Love being pushed back in the seat when overtaking.

Surprised how little turbulence there is when running with the roof down.
The handbook says use 98 octane fuel, The nearest that I can find is 97 Octane at the Texaco garage at the local Co-op. I believe that Jet and Shell do 98.

Have now done 4000 miles in her and still running fine, only a couple of minor jobs to do.
Had Major service, oil change and MOT done at OPC Colchester.
Tried to give her a run at least once a week through the winter.
No starting problems in the winter, battery is a Bosch S5 rather than a Moll.
