I've been fascinated to learn how much stuff can be retro-fitted to Porsches. They seem to be geared up for customers to continue throwing money at the cars!

Ozzie, I think Porsche prefer to call it "customisation"...

Although, expensive as it is, you can customise lots of bits even after the car has left the factory. Not many cars can do that, it's just that with Porsche you pay for the privilege.

I'm really hoping for the new Macan style wheel is just weeks away......

I went for multi function, having the majority of controls you need on the wheel is far better than the stalk behind, and the paddle button system they have is fine once you get used to it IMO. I chose it with the forward thought of the 918 becoming available for retro fit, at which point I think I may change.
I wanted a carbon fibre steering wheel in my new Boxster GTS so had to go MF. I used to have the sports steering wheel with paddles in my Cayman R but felt it looked and felt low rent so currently am happy with my choice (though have yet to collect the car). If I can/could retrofit paddles then I would be a very happy chappy!
