Does anyone know if putting wider cayman r wheels on my S would stop the steering from returning to the center by itself. I now have to litteraly push the steering wheel back to centre after I turn left or right.
Now I know caster is responsible for the steering returning to centre. My S has 7.24 of caster as I checked it today and the R has 7.53, is this enough to give the symptoms above?

I don't have my original wheels but will borrow some on the Weekend to test this. Annoyingly I didn't drive the car before the wheel swap as it's a recent purchase so I have nothing to compare it to.

I'm not sure how wider wheels would make any difference - certainly didn't experience any when I changed the wheels on my BMW from 7 - 8. Happy to be corrected...

I'd suggest getting your geometry checked.

Centre Gravity have a great reputation on here...

As above. Sounds like you have a geo issue as wheel/tyre size won't influence the problem you've mentioned.
