You need to be stationary in the 981, so zero chance of a gear change.

So no chance to do it while driving?

And then, what if I pull the paddles, engage the N, accelerate and then release both paddles? Qick lunch? I don't believe so.

Well a PDK paddle wheel popped up on ebay the other night and luckily I was heavily fuelled with Grey Goose Vodka so I was a pushover and just hit the buy it now button, It really is about time someone invented a breathalyser system for Ebay.

anyway it came today and I fitted it tonight.

Ha ha...looks great. How easy was it to fit?

I bet you will enjoy the car 10 times more with that set up. It feels more mechanical...if that makes sense?!

I have two German cars.

  • In one, you push the stalk to engage cruise control.
  • In the other, you pull the stalk to engage cruise control.
Which one is the right way round??

was easy to fit, dont think it took 5 minutes, push screwdriver into back of wheel to release the airbag, 55mm torx to undo wheel, pop the wire connectors off and remove wheel, reverse to refit.

yes looking forward to trying it out, as I said in the first post the old steering wheel was just wrong and my only gripe with this car.
