Fully understand your thought process, i guess i just look at it and think that if you get it at the right price if it has been well looked after then the downside come sale time should be minimal.
Which is the one you are looking at?
The red car would have been more of a consideration if my intention was to keep it for a few years, add a few services and iron out the initial history, but I'm intending to keep this car for maybe a year or so, maybe in to early 2016, so the history means a lot really.
Sound logic on that basis, best of luck with the one you are looking at.

good luck, look forward to seeing the pics. As you are looking to move it on quite quickly what is going to be replacing it then?

I already have a house but apparently "it's not big enough" and "it's not in the catchment area" of the schools we want our kids to go to..............so a much bigger house in a more expensive area......££££££ eek

The White one at Hollybrook has dipped below 40k. Doesn't have the side stripes, but I'm sure they can be fitted. It's PDK, but it does have nav.

Already spoke to Matt quite a bit.......it doesn't have the PSE which Porsche are wanting £2288 to retro fit.........given that that cost isn't ever going to be recouped in the sale price really, I'm after one with it already....

So a few years to wait until you can sell the big house and use the profit to buy several fun cars.

Ha! It kind of had to be given that for two months I've been hawking PH, Autotrader, Ebay and Googling "Cayman R for Sale" seemingly every 10 minutes of the day in case any slip through the net!!

I'm sure whatever car it is it'll be great, it just seems that my requirements are in line with how a lot of people ordered them originally!!

The Paragon car? smile

Sounds so simple, although I think once the Mrs is in the new house, I would have to crowbar her out of it!! lol

Reduced £500...........

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Seems a decent car, without buckets, but with low miles and two years Porsche Warranty apparently.

I've seen a lot of talk of "decent spec cars selling fast" but I've not actually seen anything sell fast other than the Peridot R at Cameron that I passed up............everything else is stagnating or the sellers are slashing the price. A lot of the cars listed were £2-3k more a couple of months ago.

There seems to be an element of "speculative" listings of people trying to ride or create a bubble of the price of these car going up whereas as far as I can see, prices are static and not selling or being reduced and still not selling.

May be it's the time of the year? May be there just hasn't been a truely high spec, low mileage car come up for sale whilst I've been looking, and I'm now getting cynical!?!? smile

dan (I think) got a nice car, which was the white one for sale from the guy who had it 5 weeks while he waited for his GT3 to arrive, it sold in about 2 hours of being on PH advert !

people do want it seems (below), and if they have all these they just sell. (as you have seen Black seems to be the worse seller then Silver)

Buckets
Spyder wheels
Manual
PSE
PCM (with blue tooth add on)
AC
Sports Crono

add in any sweet spec and the cars fly out. I am def a leather man + all the above spec and SS (but you can easy add the SS)
SS
Bose
Leather
Xenons
PCCB

all the cars for sale as you have seen are quite lacking in to many area's we are not buying £25k Lotus at the end of the day so Spec does seem to be key for £45k of your money.

It's ok cars coming up with a lot missing but not at daft prices, you can add, Spyder wheels, PSE, Sports crono, SS after but the cars got to be priced well in the 1st place, you can even add buckets at £6k ;-)

I would take that GT silver car, sell the turbo wheels, and buy some Spyder ones, that was quite a nice car.

Depends what you class as a spec I guess..

I've not seen another car close to the spec of mine since I bought mine 18 months ago (Manual, spyder wheels Sports Chrono, buckets, xenons, short shift, alcantara wheel, PSE, soundpackage +, Climate control, bluetooth etc). Only thing mine hasn't got that a lot of people want is PCM, but sadly thats what you want.

White and Peridot seem to be the most desirable colours.

No - can't say it one I'm bothered about it though. A nice to have for me would have been alcantara door cards / roof lining.

Yeah, White & Peridot do seem to be the premium colours.

But then my assumption was that the 9k Paragon car would have sold in days, despite not having PSE, but it still seems to be for sale....
