How hard is it to find a decent Cayman R??

I don't quite understand the easy to drive comment either, unless it's a nod toward the "only driving gods can handle a GT3/911 - properly" mantra lol.
What I meant by 'easy to drive' is the car is so competent and composed that it's very easy to get the best out of it straight away. That's great if you want to jump in and go 10/10ths as there are no nasty surprises to worry about but its not what everyone wants.good luck putting a novice in a R and driving 10/10th lol
this is a joke must be.
A mid engine car will bite you easier and quicker than the rear engine GT3, the GT3 also gives you greater traction, where the R you have to ease out the bends.
The corner speed is higher in the R so you also need more balls to even take it to 10/10ths and of course you can brake later in the R again needing more balls.
The GT3 is more slow in fast out use the traction, repeat.... and if it does let go the GT3 is more progressive imo and has no PSM to F**k you over (or PSM off is off)
I was drifting off round about on my way home in the GT3 , I still don't do that in the Cayman, it's no where near as easy to control if it goes tits up.
the stories of the 911 is hard to drive were from the lift off over steer uncatchable days, those are long gone.

Wow! Drifting GT3's off roundabouts must get boring after a while. I can understand why you sold it now! this is a joke must be.

I am not into Chris Harris drifting, I am more about A to B speed, but having fun doing it, ie not in a turbo 4WED, been there done that.If you want a drift car buy a M3

Totally agree with this. Try driving a Cayman/Boxster in the wet without ESP and it's going to end in tears for many of us. this is a joke must be.

Drove the Spyder and 6RS back to back today and the Spyder is so much easier to get out of shape.
Agree, as soon as you loose control of the car (Cayman) it will be tough to bring it back on the road. This because center of gravity is basically on top of driving axle, so you cannot use/play-with the power to balance the car and put it back on the road.
Confirmed by my consultant in Silverstone that clearly said 911 is easier to control on huge oversteer manouvre.
Although Cayman is far away more balanced so more difficult to put it on critical oversteer.
All that because I was spinning continously during the rear slide test (wet), to be fair at speed higher than 20 mph and closed eyes (as per his request/recommendation lol )

You'll have to be pushing harder towards the limit in the RS to get it out of shape this is true, but ffs make sure your on your toes as it all happens very very very quickly regardless of circumstance.Drove the Spyder and 6RS back to back today and the Spyder is so much easier to get out of shape.

The owner of that car is a PH'er and it was offered to me for what he PX'd it for, unfortunately I was still trying to get my GTS order changed for December delivery (which suddenly became February once my spec was applied to the build slot!!) so my dithering mean't I missed out!!Strange one, that.
