Pic looks like the same location that Mackay Trading use, the ones who Dan911 bought the white car from around october last year?

Not sure if I'm a fan of that colour.........
correct that was the traders selling picture, I am not sold on the colour now, the peridot shines more with it's gold flake in the sun and looks stunning on the R when clean, I still look at mine out the window even after 2 years and it's still impressive.

In my memory it had PCCB...great colour.
there was a gen 2 dealer spec Viper Green car with PCCB, plus R body kit , but not an R model for sale at one point.
That was the Gen II press car used in the Autocar S vs R video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mFoSpbhAOw

It was for sale at OPC Leeds for a while late in 2011(went down as low as £45k) then JCT600 moved it to Newcastle, umped the price up to £49,995 and it sold after a few days.

Not mine... mine was bought private (forum member) and the photo's were outside a farm house.

If the owner of the Viper one wants a change of colour, let me know.. tongue out

Hi Dan , 991 GT3 gone already. Would have kept the R if i,d known it was going to be so short lived ! Think I've got a Spyder lined up , but higher mileage , no warranty and lower spec ..... Never mind , hopefully GT4 soon .

68k a bit leggy for me ! OPC rang to buy it back . I Did 1600m including a decent run round Scotland. It was fun and lucrative as a bonus . Plenty more models to try . Rang about your R26.R but it was gone .

Buckets, PSE, rear parkers... What more could you want? Though it'll cost you another £2k to get OPC warranty if you so desire! smile
Does look alright that one. Black isn't one of my favourite colours though.

The warranty specifically doesn't cover cylinder liners either. Not that I've heard of any problems with these newer engines, but takes away the peace of mind.

OPC warranty is about a grand I think? Plus you'd have to pay for the 111 point inspection and hope that passes.

I do think it's over priced though, there's a better spec silver one available from Lawton Brook. All you'd need to change is the Turbo wheels for Sypder ones. Similar miles on that one also.

Also, are my eyes deceiving me, or is the top of the dashboard silver on that black R?

That car was £39,995 privately a week ago, looks like it on SOR or the dealer snapped it up and added a £5k premium.....
Really haha.

No problem!

I bought my car two months ago after trawling the classifieds for 3-4 months........I was told that there were high spec cars out there.........but two months on and not seen one I would have bought over mine.

Maybe the GT4 will crowbar a few owners out of their R's this Spring/Summer.....

Is that your eyes picking out the uncowled instruments (which are silver)?

Hopefully. I'm trying not to rush into this purchase and trying to wait for one with the perfect spec for me.

I'm surprised at how many PDK vehicles there are, would have thought 90% of them would have been manual!

What's usually unpopular when cars are bought new, then becomes rare and then suddenly everyone wants!

It happens with colours too. A certain colour may only be ordered by a few people, then a few years later buyers now decide that they now like it as there aren't many in that colour...........

I seeeee...... Manual all the way in my opinion, even though I know that PDK box is awesome.

Does anyone know sales figures for these cars? How many were sold in total, how many were manual, how many had certain options etc? Are those figures available to the public? I know they are for some other manufacturers...

When looking at a specific car, it would be extremely helpful to know how many were also sold in that coloud/spec etc?

Anyone know? Or can point me in the right direction?

Also, what about the original price breakdown per option? Is that available? Would be good to know what each listed option on each car would have cost to spec originally...

Cheers

it's about a 50/50 split Manual vs PDK forget total cars it's about 220 ish

the thing is the PDK owners love the tech so move the cars on to the next new tech, the Manual owners tend to keep them.

hence why you see more PDK cars for sale than Manual (a lot of PDK cars seems to have sports seats not buckets also), PDK will be poor reseller in a few years time imo on the R , bit like tiptronic is today. remember how ever good PDK was 5 years back it's was still the 1st gen PDK on the R, gen 2 PDK is far better and 3rd gen will be better again I am sure, leaving gen 1 PDK on the shelf on a car which should be manual imho :-)

great time to be partexing a PDK car as dealers love PDK and don't give who is buying R's now a thought.

The R now falls into the enthusiast bracket and buyers in this sector are fussy and tend to work hard for their money.
Hi up spec being

Manual
Spyder wheels (you can add this 5k )
Buckets seats (you can add this 6k)
PSE (you can add this (2.5k)
AC
those seems a must have for a large % of todays buyers (I would also have to have leather as a must have but rare to get with all the other bits)

nice to have is
SS (you can add this £450)
SPorts mode (you can add this £700)
PCM
Bluetooth (about £700 to add)

some will also say must haves to the above.

very nice to have
full leather
Bose
parking sensors
usb in glove box
xenons

then you have the main easy sell colours being white or Peridot, I love red but they don't seem to sell well nor does Black,
silvers seems to do alright if the spec is good.

PCCB cars are very rare, check the disk wear, but don't be put off, you get nice 6 pot calipers so can fit larger 350mm steel disks to these if you wish.

hope that helps.

Not sure that information is out there........I'm guessing at around 250 UK cars, of which circa 100 are manual from memory......high spec cars were still £60k+ but at the time OPC's couldn't shift the cars so they discounted the later cars quite heavily to get rid of them I believe....as mentioned, what wasn't so popular then, is now smile

I have noticed that also although I'm searching for a LHD car. Somebody on german forums posted that the CR sold as 40% manual and 60% PDK (claiming the Porsche archive/museum as his source).
My theory is that the buyers of PDK cars are/were more focused on absolute performance and track performance so they are more likely to sell it on now for the next big thing.
I believe that manuals will age more gracefully because a solid manual is a solid manual whereas the PDK will eventually feel clunky compared to "PDK-S version 3 update 9" or what have you. I could be wrong, who knows.

Very helpful mate thank you. Kind of confirms all my thoughts too smile

I wasn't aware that the Spyder wheels were so expensive - 5 grand!!??

What is SS please?

PCM is Nav right?

Is the universal audi interface option the USB/AUX in the dash?

I wasn't actually aware that Xenons didn't come as standard, that's a bit of a bugger...

Not seen one with PCCB yet.

Seems to be the case, that manual owners are holding on to them for longer. And that PDK owners are shifting them on for then next best gadget..

Looks like it could be hard to find what I want, if that ever happens.
