Is this the car that was on sale privately recently for several weeks at £37500? If so, looks like the owner let it go for a fair bit less.

Maybe, but who knows what he let it go for? Or if it's on SOR?

Believe the car is being sold by tjob, the OP from this topic;

Certainly is a nice looking car and if I was in a position to buy a Cayman R at this point I would be having a look at this.

There's a white PDK Cayman R coming up at BCA Nottingham on Thursday - with 68k on the clock! Will be interesting to see what it goes for.
Out of interest did anyone see what this made?

Cool - what one will you get? Are you bored with the GT3?

That's good news.. Guess you liked the PDK of the 3?

Not used our (well my) one since I drove her back.. Too much salt on the road.

Hope to get her out of storage over the next few weeks..

I caught sight of that yesterday on the display at Tonbridge. Looks better in the flesh and all the right bits, but i'd need a divorce before being able to get something like that again. On the other hand, I wouldn't be able to buy any cars at all after a divorce, so best stay loved up then smile

Are these things going up in value now?

Ref PDK , No not at all , main reason I sold it. ! Much prefer a manual but very little for sale . I just have a sniff of a nice spec ( other than Pdk ) one that might be coming up . And it'll be a couple of k more than I sold yours for ! I knew I'd regret selling that one . Great balance of performance , involvement and rarity for a 3rd of the price of the GT3.

Fingers crossed for a GT4 , but that will be July earliest so need something inbeteeen. ( still fancy an r26.r )

always funny to go back 5 years and read the old articles on how people trashed it at launch...

Yeh I saw that , but it comes with spare set of track wheels and several mods . I would want a standard one . Yours was ideal .

Yeah, I think it was the use of R that upset people. Wasn't focused enough to merit that title to some peopl's eyes. But I think by and large people accepted, it was a great car and good value too! Mine certainly was awesome value when you consider what they sell for at the moment.

Does seem exceptional value for the mileage & spec so not surprised it went quickly.
