Is this the car that was on sale privately recently for several weeks at £37500? If so, looks like the owner let it go for a fair bit less.Believe the car is being sold by tjob, the OP from this topic;

Certainly is a nice looking car and if I was in a position to buy a Cayman R at this point I would be having a look at this.

I caught sight of that yesterday on the display at Tonbridge. Looks better in the flesh and all the right bits, but i'd need a divorce before being able to get something like that again. On the other hand, I wouldn't be able to buy any cars at all after a divorce, so best stay loved up then http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

That's good news.. Guess you liked the PDK of the 3?
Not used our (well my) one since I drove her back.. Too much salt on the road.
Hope to get her out of storage over the next few weeks..
Ref PDK , No not at all , main reason I sold it. ! Much prefer a manual but very little for sale . I just have a sniff of a nice spec ( other than Pdk ) one that might be coming up . And it'll be a couple of k more than I sold yours for ! I knew I'd regret selling that one . Great balance of performance , involvement and rarity for a 3rd of the price of the GT3. Not used our (well my) one since I drove her back.. Too much salt on the road.
Hope to get her out of storage over the next few weeks..
Fingers crossed for a GT4 , but that will be July earliest so need something inbeteeen. ( still fancy an r26.r )

always funny to go back 5 years and read the old articles on how people trashed it at launch...

Yeah, I think it was the use of R that upset people. Wasn't focused enough to merit that title to some peopl's eyes. But I think by and large people accepted, it was a great car and good value too! Mine certainly was awesome value when you consider what they sell for at the moment.http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/the-porsche-cayma...
