I don't see it following the GT car trend and increasing any time soon but I wonder if the lack of GT4s might keep them above 40k for another year or so. Either way I'll be driving mine whenever I can, if it depreciates a lot so be it.
I'll be genuinely surprised if they fall away very much - there's just too much demand for a good one..
They're not going to be £70k next year or anything, but there's so few of them that I'd imagine they'll be ok.

Who knows?I think a lot of the OPC cars are overpriced in my opinion, to incorporate the warranty they put on it, remedial work required to comply with the warranty and then the dealers profit. There are still cars for sale at £40k or over, that was for sale six months ago.......
There's only one other car that I would seriously have considered instead of mine, another PH'ers Peridot car with PCCB's that I passed up, ended up at Cameron's and sold within a day I think...

Mine's from an OPC and it's just had 2 new tyres, new front discs and pads and they're doing a few stone chips and bits before I collect it. With the 2 year warranty as well that's a fair spend and I didn't pay the asking price. I bought mine with a view of hoping to not lose too much money on it, the fact that there seems now a potential to actually hold its value or even increase.
I spoke to the dealer last week about something else, I bought the car in December and he asked me on the phone how the car was going etc etc, said to me I made a really smart move (I was potentially going to buy a 997T at the time). jeebers, +7k for a pair of seats!? add vat and more like £9k+ which is ridiculous really. I agree with earlier comments that the R should have them, to me they are part of the statement that the R makes. For that price for seats it would mean I keep my search refined to one that has them already fitted.

I tried the new GTS and really liked it. I was tempted by it as the noise it makes is fantastic! But when I spec'd my ideal model, it ended up very much like an R only it was about £70k! Seemed poor value if you already have an R IMHO. So no, not enough of a step up if at all really. R feels more honest and feels just as quick, also a touch sharper than the GTS. Steering is night and day better on R and both have rather naff brake pedal. GTS blips for you in sport mode, R doesn't. R feels more focused. Put it this way, other than that new car feeling and excitement of spanking a new car around the Porsche test track, when I got back in my car at the end of the day, I wasn't pining for a GTS, I was delighted to have the R to drive home in.Re R prices, ive been following them since early January and they seem to vary between 38-45k, with the OPC's generally being at the top end price-wise as you would expect. R feels much more focused than the GTS, difference in price is miles and spec, cheapest cars have over 30k miles on them now. then you have every thing in between, top priced cars being , bucket seated manuals with spyder wheels, they always sell fastest. Put it this way 8 OPC cars for sale NONE are bucket seated cars bar one and that's got >30k miles
quite a few OPC have buyers lined up for manual cars with buckets so they are in and out.
got to buy the right spec.

I had a look on 'how many left' and the numbers were similar to what you've posted - I think the total of man/pdk came out in the 220s. How accurate those numbers are though, I couldn't say.103 Man

I would agree with that short list! Not bothered about AC. If I had a pdk I would want all the sport plus extras. Just cant imagine myself hooning about with a redundant left foot and gear shifter!Manual
