I do know both :-) , I told him to keep the R to go with what he had :-) the perfect pair.
Haha. It is a great pair but I'd MUCH rather have the pair which he's going to have soon enough!!!!

Blue would have been me on the test drive in the car I've just decided to buy smile

Pick it up on Saturday, can't wait!

Cheers Shaun :P
I kept looking at that Blue one, Same spec and miles as mine.

If I hadn't bought my White one in Nov, I would of been there before you.

Enjoy her!

I'm sure someone mentioned a high mileage R that was going through an auction recently, this would probably be it;

Pricing on these is very odd, they all seem to be worth £40k, spec, milage, warranty all make bugger all difference in the 'for sale price'. Guess thats why lots of these are sitting around for ages and others are selling in minutes of going up, this one is expensive, no OPC warranty and has done 70k miles, has the wrong seats and gearbox and still they want 40k, good luck

Sure the ad says it has the becket seats? And PSE? No PCM I don't think.

Pricing is extremely varied, I think thats what happens when there are so few about, people just aren't sure where to price them. Although this car would seem to be about £10k overpriced to me.............

the blue on was nice and went for around £42k, and it was low mileage, this one is still ok but not what the market seems to be desiring right now and with mega mileage and still the pricing is up there.

I bought a 996TT with high mileage, based on price. Never again. No matter how well built, cars with mileage cost money to maintain as parts wear out and I didn't get enough discount to take account of that. I overpaid.

I'm not suggesting this car is in need of anything just that a wise buyer would do well to remember that it's going to cost more to run than the low mile examples and adjust the price accordingly.

Secretly I hope they sell it at that price as it takes away the fear of putting large miles on my 18,000 mile car.

Do any of you guys let putting on miles spoil your usage of cr, I tend to use the wife's or daughters car If the weather is not great , but I think it's because I am concious of mileage

No way. I've had mine (Spyder) now for fours years and I've done 6,000 miles. Will have to start reigning it in at some point though...

how can one only do 1.5k miles In a year ?

I don't think I use mine and have done double that. And have done 20k in the R

I don't see the point in driving a shed 80% of the time while I have nice cars to drive, what's this sorn people talk of lol.

Yes and no. If you only drive for fun, 1500 miles per year is fine. I don't get much enjoyment driving most of the time; it's just A to B. Which makes the blasts and trackdays more special. It's nice to get out of a turbodiesel into a performance car and feel the difference.

Each o their own and all that ...

I've only done 6,000 because I set up my own business and realised that weekends don't exist any more...

To be fair, now the pics are up, it looks decent. The biggest issue is the price not being in line with the mileage imo.....

Does anyone know what it went for at auction as that's going to be closer to its true value.

no its not, that's the price its for sale at, its worth whats it sells for, if it sells for £39k fair enough, but I doubt it will with the millage. No reserve auction are the quickest way to find the true top value of something, I guarantee you it didn't change hands the other week at near this price, hence i asked the question what did it sell for at auction?

FFS do not burst the hopes/dreams/price aspirations bubble
