Do any of you guys let putting on miles spoil your usage of cr
It's my daily drive so no issues with using it. I bought the car to use and enjoy.

Went to see my R yesterday. They agreed to paint the front PU, put the decals back on and tidy up a small chip in the driver's door before I collect it.

I've asked them to have another go at the chip in the driver's door, it's one of those annoying chips on the door edge you get when you open the door onto a wall or something, it's been touched in but looks like the kind of repair I'd do to be honest. They didn't discount the car much so I'm pushing to have it right before I collect it, reckon they think I'm being a bit picky on a 29k miles used car but it doesn't look right, and I'd see it every time I get in the car.

Anyone had a repair on this kind of chip before? Don't really want to have the door repainted if possible.

Its a flat colour so shoul dbe quite easy for a decent repair to be almost un-noticable, I'm guessing they are touching up and leaving it like that? What they should be doing is touching up, flatting back and then polishing - assuming of course its not too large an area.

Cheers. No it's not a large area at all, I guess the problem is that it's on the edge of the door and so probably needs filler to get it to look right. I'll see what the bodyshop bloke has to say about it and go from there.

I saw that white CR on auto-trader last night, I wouldn't pay £40k for a 3-4yr old car with 68K miles on it. Surely they wont get more than 33-35k for that?

Used to do chipped door edges all the time when I had a Chipsaway franchise. Tricky to fill them, far better to flat the edge of the door (without going onto the face) then paint and laquer using an airbrush. If the chip in anyway encroaches onto the outer face of the door, it's more difficult to get an invisible repair.

This seems nice....buckets, manual, spyders and 2 year porsche warranty, so no aftermarket mods if you like your cars factory standard

Yes, I thought it would be a couple of grand more. Certainly with the peace of mind that buying from an OPC offers
