Picked mine up today...
Hopefully popping up to Oulton tomorrow to watch a few hours of RS day, will get some decent miles on it then and see what it's all about
That looks just like mine!Hopefully popping up to Oulton tomorrow to watch a few hours of RS day, will get some decent miles on it then and see what it's all about
I've been in the US for a week, best go and check that she's still in the garage :-)
They do look best in red, Chris de Burgh was right on this one.
I'm running a GT2 register linked from my profile, would be happy to get one up and running for the CRs, Spyders etc. I've got details of 90% of the 996 GT2s but am still adding them, should be a useful thing once it's finished, a CR one could be useful for future buyers.

Now you just need a set of titanium wheel bolts to replace the horrible corroding Porsche items...
Oh, and the GT2 RS gear knob/gaiter looks absolutely great in a red CR too - don't have a picture handy though.

That does look fantastic, but largely because of the processing on the photo...Now you just need a set of titanium wheel bolts to replace the horrible corroding Porsche items...

The slightly washed out red in the photo further up is more representative of the real world colour.

The slightly washed out red in the photo further up is more representative of my crappy camera phone and photography skills It changes massively depending on the light conditions. My front PU was painted as part of the sales prep by the OPC, in most lights it looks fine but in low light conditions it looks like the paint has more orange in it- I'm hoping this is a fresh paint on plastic issue rather than a wrong colour being applied

Look at the green leaves in the processed pic, they look like they've being spray painted!

is red still a problem for modern cars? Thought they might have eliminated that sun-fade that blighted red cars of the 80s-noughties. They look awful when they turn slightly rose pink.
Shame if so as I quite fancy an R in red
No its no longer a problem with modern paint and even if it were, you can get rid of the pink paint with a good old polish. Shame if so as I quite fancy an R in red
