Help - Flat battery
Discussion
Haven't driven the car for a couple of months and even forgot it was in the garage until the arl went off last weekend and wouldn't switch off until the battery eventually died.
I have looked on YouTube and in the manual and pulled the red lug out and connected it up as illustrated.
Still can't release the bonnet to get at the battery.
What else can I do?

I had this in the summer. I couldnt get it to work with a battery connected to the fuse box at all but I suspect it comes down to the state of the battery.
The last option is to access the emergency bonnet release in the left front wheel arch. Jack the car up to give some work room - no need to take wheel off then - then you need to get the wheel arch liner off - I just undid the screws (about 6) and slid it out the way - then pull the wire that you will find poking out. Its a right hassle but the only way if the battery just wont work. Wire will pull quite a way but persist and bonnet will open.

Better have spinach for lunch to push the car out!
