Hi guys,

Has anyone got experience of using the 5mm OEM spacers on a CGTS? I was looking at ordering them but reading on the Porsche UK Tequipment area on their website, it states they are only available for 18" wheel sets?

If the Porsche ones are only available for their 18" wheels then what other spacers and size do people tend to use?

Thanks,
Michael

I had them fitted to my 991s with 20' wheels. Did they make a difference ? I dont know if it was placebo or not.. but i did seem to feel a slightly better turn in (if possible) and better ride ? but probably all psychological.. weels did "marginally" look better as filling arches out a bit more.. but again.. pretty sure i noticed only b/c i knew..

so all in not sure it's worth the 500 the OPC charged me for the job smile

I would like them for the purposes of filling the arches better and if they improve handling then a bonus!

Keen to find out what experience Cayman S / GTS owners have had of using them? and if the OEM 5mm work with the 20" wheels or do I have to go for an after-market product?

I asked this exact question to my opc on Friday.. I'm after a set for my GTS too... I think we will need to go aftermarket as on the 981 they don't let you do them at an opc.

I believe H&R do some which a lot of the Planet9 guys seem to be talking about. I'm just not sure what size to go for because I've ordered x73 and you have to be careful of clearance etc.

Do you know why they won't do it on a 981? Clearance issues? I'm sure Porsche would love to take £500 off you for a kit that probably costs less than £20(?) to make and an hour or so to fit.

Got sport suspensions on my GTS and would never do this mod.

Do you imagine all stone chip you can have cause the tyres are less covered from wheel archers?

In my opinion CGTS looks perfect on ss, no modification needed.
