Cayman 2.7 - Ticking Noise drivers side??

I was thinking my new 2.7 981 was a bit noisy with the ticking especially at cold start. Doesn't seem to be as bad when at temp. Glad to hear that it's normal.
Biggest scare I had was when a dry leaf found it's way into the drivers side air vent....that made a terrible noise...I thought 'herre we go!!', but luckily my iPhone torch revealed the culprit!!Hi,
I own a 2007 Porsche Cayman 2.7 since november 2007. This car always did a "tick" noise and since I own it, I drove it about 8'000 km.
The noise is still the same, it didn't get worse with time, but I wonder if this sound is just an injector tick or something worse and if I should show the car to my dealer or not...
Here is a video: https://vid.me/e/WeZp
The noise is more loud at right side, so passenger side for me.
Thanks

Yep, 2.7 does it too. It's most likely ticking injectors. If it's more of a rattle, then that might be something to worry about, but IMS shouldn't effect that model...
A slight ticking however, sounds like injectors to me, and nothing at all to worry about. Get a Carnewal exhaust, you won't hear the ticking any more

I've actually bought a 2.7 Cayman since last viewing this post; however, not the car the post was originally about!
I had a look at a few more and they all ticked, including the one I own now, so it's nothing to worry about.
Although, I am trying to plan a trip to Belgium to get myself a Carnewal exhaust! Seems like it's an initiation process if you're trying to join the Cayman 2.7 club

Apologies to bump an old post, but seemed logical to follow on from this one..
My 07 2.7 Cayman has a 'ticking' sound, over the right hand driver's side shoulder is the best description of the location (RHD car). It is most noticeable after start up but can just about be heard (inside the cabin) on the move with the windows up at lower revs.
I just wanted to ask those of you who have described also having/hearing a similar noise above, does the ticking frequency rise in time with the revs?
It's been bugging me for a while if it's a 'normal' sound or something to get investigated further.
Cheers,
Tim
