I've been told to get up close you need a pass. More restricted than when I went to see the 997 GT3 in 06 when anybody could get on the stand and sniff round the car!

Yes there are a few cars you can't get to without a pass. I'm lucky enough to have two which get you in for food and drink I believe (I would insert one of those rotating head emoji things if I knew how). Can't wait!
Really looking forward to some early road tests on these I saw some interesting slides on what happens when. If someone can explain how to post a picture using iPad i will post.

Learnt today not getting a car. Checked in France where I can have a car in May. Checked my spec on Porsche France config even with 1.36 exchange rate French car about £2000 more? VAT the same so why?

I'd happily pay £2k more for a RHD car delivered in May. (As long as they let me pay the full balance immediately)

Checked German config. Base price 85,776,00 euro, my options 9,591,40 euro. French config. Base price 88,310,00 euro, my options 10,170,00. OK 1% diff in VAT but not enough to explain difference ??

Us American buyers are expecting first allocations to be doled out on March 3rd. Looks like our builds start in May targeting July deliveries.

I'm #1 at a non-premier dealer and #2 at a Premier dealer, so hoping my allocation pops no later than May so I can have a car by the very end of the summer. We've gotten 8 feet (2.5m) of snow in the past 7 weeks, so I'll be sad if my GT4 has to go into early hibernation.

Whats the difference between a non-premier dealer and a premier dealer? I don't think we have the distinction in the UK.

Well ive been confirmed as getting a car, but 12 months away... 2-3 cars per OPC this year seems to be the norm. Madness really.

Pretty sure it's like an OPC vs a multi-brand franchise outlet?

In case anyone is interested. Dealer I spoke to in France asked for four cars, allocated one upon which I have paid 10% deposit car due in May. Luckily have home in France as they were not interested in exporting.Car more expensive than UK due to eco tax and grey card about £7,500 in my case.

Nope. Premier dealers are considered by Porsche to be one of the 25 best (of near 200) Porsche dealers in the United States. They tend to push a high volume and have very high customer sat to get there, and are rewarded with more (and earlier) allocations of the rarer stuff. Moreover, some practices such as markup/premiums can cause that distinction to be immediately stripped. My premier dealer actually sells nearly a dozen luxury/ultra-luxury brands on the same campus (old-school "auto mall" concept).
