Nope. Premier dealers are considered by Porsche to be one of the 25 best (of near 200) Porsche dealers in the United States. They tend to push a high volume and have very high customer sat to get there, and are rewarded with more (and earlier) allocations of the rarer stuff. Moreover, some practices such as markup/premiums can cause that distinction to be immediately stripped. My premier dealer actually sells nearly a dozen luxury/ultra-luxury brands on the same campus (old-school "auto mall" concept).

Interesting, thanks. I wonder if its the same deal in the UK but not so publicised?
Customer service does not appear to be an important metric amongst UK OPCs when compared with other countries.

Sorry to hear that chap, have you got a second choice of car?
Not really. Getting tempted by a used MP4-12C though but REALLY wanted a GT4, one of the best looking cars I've seen in ages with the grunt and chassis to match! Figures why it was so popular.

Just saying that I wouldn't want to buy a "stripper" car, as I would be using it as a DD.

My spec was: http://www.porsche-code.com/PG417IX5 £81,714 - Buckets, PCCBs and a good spattering of nice toys.

mine has all the toys bar PCCB, I think 380MM disks all round will be ample.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the satin black wheels? The platinum satin wheels are so nice its hard not to just go with those, but couldn't help thinking the black would go better with my ideal spec.

There are lots of pics of Gloss black wheels on 981/991 but does anybody have any pictures of the Carrera S / Classic wheel in Satin Black?
(I think this is the only other wheel currently available in Satin Black)

Well I've still not heard if I'm getting one or not. I was 4th on the list but they have not confirmed if I am or not.

I'm not going to track it extensively . It's going to be a road car for me with the odd track day or two.

My spec will be

Yellow
Buckets
Pccb
Pcm
Phone
Upgraded stereo
And a few other bits. Think it comes to about 79k

I'll look properly once it's confirmed!

Satin is a better alternative for black wheels I reckon. All the detail gets lost in black.

Porsche really know how to do it when it comes to sales.

I have to say the more I consider the spec of the GT4, the more apparent how much of a weapon this beast is going to be. If it looks good in pictures, it will look 10x better in real life. Congrats for all those who manage to get their hands on one.

Huh, not sure what you mean - both platinum and black are satin... Gloss isn't an option on GT4.

My bad, I mean with platinum vs black.

Black is too dark and you lose any detail in the wheel design, they just kinda get lost in the wheel arches.
