Looks like they have been told to take it easy. Not over 5000rpm. Bet it screams up at the 7's 👹

have you noticed the ECU is still saying change up a gear!! its a F ing GT4 why do you want to change up for eco. I still get the same in my GTS even in sports +. I want to kill the person that programmed this and thought i was a 'good idea' irritates the s hit out of me when I see it driving.

On a GT4 this is shameful

FYI Base GT4 here in Dubai is AED 300,500, or £53,676.39 at todays exchange rate.

What is it in the UK?

£64,541 for the base spec, but do bear in mind that the UK spec includes quite a few items as standard that probably are not on the UAE spec (well they certainly arnt std on a comparible Euro spec car anyway, so Im assuming the same will apply to UAE too).

True - I know when I bought my Cayman S back in 2007 is was a fair bit cheaper than the UK but differing spec (as base). I then proceeded to add around £10k worth of options, as you do... hehe

The difference between UK & Dubai price could be accounted for with the Tax/ VAT in the Uk I would have thought.

Dubai price irrelevant now as they are sold out with Porsche Dubai, just ordered mine with an alternative dealer in the region and coincidently ordered it in Carmine Red with Club Sport package as per the photos above. Nice to see a picture of how it should look when i get it later this year

I wish 1) I'd believed the rumours and 2) thought they would do a proper GT job on it. I (falsly) presumed it was just going to be another "R" type stunt.

I look forward to seeing yours round Manchester.

Did you get one in the end, Jack?

Us Americans are still waiting for allocations. Porsche hasn't doled them out yet, despite everyone assuming it would be this week. Word is US-bound production starts in May, so we figure allocations ought to be doled out soon enough.

Beyond the terribly important question of colours, has a consensus on spec emerged yet? I am looking at two options:

1. fully loaded low £80k's
2. With restraint £70k-ish

No clubsport in either.

PCM, Bluetooth, buckets in both.

Main differences are PCCB, special paint and various leather/Alcantara bits...

The interior options will make it a nicer place to be, but won't hold their value. But will a poverty-spec interior be a negative at resale time..?

Thoughts, views welcomed!

I suspect that most cars will be nearer your option 2 than option 1. Mine will be £73k-ish assuming I do get one. Key elements: Buckets, PCM, Bluetooth, DAB, Leather/Alcantara interior.

PCCB is an option I'd never go for. Pointless on the road and expensive on track.

I've gone for quite a few nice interior bits as its where you spend most of the time smile

So how many of you chaps are opting for the basic car with just a club sport package?

Looked great in the flesh and almost tempted to go Yellow .
