Just got a call from the Reading OPC offering me an October build slot for the GT4. Of course I said yes!
Okay, I take back anything bad I might have said about this whole process...
Only big question for me now is Yellow or Blue?
Same thing happened to me today, not sure about build date though - same dealership. Deposit paid.Okay, I take back anything bad I might have said about this whole process...

So I spent some time at the OPC yesterday running through my spec and getting the deposit paid. I saw a yellow one there and it does look great but I've gone for Sapphire Blue as I think it's stunning. Got some more detail around how this opportunity came up, it looks like Porsche have shifted some allocation from less popular regions to the UK and Reading got two extra build slots but had to fill them short notice, they simply followed protocol and offered them out to the next two people on the list. Lucky us!!

Good news. Also sapphire with pccb and yellow stitching to match and tons of alcantara . Can't wait DYKWIA said:

I'm pleased to hear more cars are coming, not just because it means that more people are getting what they want, it also means there's less scope for the speculators to profiteer, as more and more of those who wanted a car receive one and are not tempted to buy at a premium.pete.g said:

If Porsche announced greater supply, quite a few names on the list would drop out. Looks like they've just shifted some allocation and the UK got a *few* extra cars, the numbers are still tiny. I'm buying this car to drive it and I'm absolutely thrilled I managed to get one but, honestly, I don't expect this to affect residuals, some people are bound to speculate and profiteer.

Maybe they are flooding the market with extra allocation?
Are you keeping the Exige still and the M4 Mark?
I think the Exige LF1 will probably go - I'll decide over next couple of days, but I think it is too close to the GT4 to make sense... The M3 I'm not sure as yet - it might be different enough to stay. Are you keeping the Exige still and the M4 Mark?

Thrilled to get back in to a Porsche GT car - I've missed them!
I bet you are considering you didn't have a LOI or deposit down in February at launch! I think you've done amazingly well to get one from Reading as I was led to believe there was a very long list! Well Done Mark

You lucky GT4 chaps probably know this already, but just in case... Yesterday I was at PCE and they had a GT4 with German plates, looking around and sitting inside I noticed that the dash is a different material to the Cayman. Rather than being leather over a 'hard' base it was spongy type soft plastic, similar to Audi dashboards. Much more preferable to me, I've never understood wrapping everything like that in leather.
The front splitter looked appreciably lower than the CGTS, really looked like it would struggle with most speed bumps. And for that reason when they asked if I wanted to swap I declined.
