So, who has put a deposit down?

Got mine in today. Been on the German Porsche site to run through a configuration or two, cant understand a word of it. I think the UK one is up now though.

What spec is everyone going for?

Deposit in .

Spec'd to £68,500 . Bargain .

Buckets , phone prep , leather dash , sound package plus .

Haven't decided if Clubsport warrants the price ? Not much metal for a lot of dosh .

No idea on colour . Doesn't seem to be like the 3 which seemed to suit any colour .

Deposit also in.

Spec is a lowly £67.3k....buckets, red seatbelts, phone prep and sound package plus.

Just need to check if xenons and sports chrono are standard as per the press release (not clear on the configurator).

Great news on the GT4, ive been annoying the hell out of my missus for months - on the internet first thing in the morning, checking during the day and last thing at night before the big Zzzzzz....s
any news - any real pics..... today.....at long last....was it worth the wait - Hell Yes!! My order has been placed some time ago and im nos 3 to get one!!!
Cannot wait - don't care its not a GT3 - it looks awesome to me and I love the fact it would appear to be a true GT car,the even better news is im not paying a 40k premium like I've been seeing/quoted from dealers for the GT3's.
I wont be selling mine for a big premium like a large percentage of new GT3 owners - I want to drive it! - I think Porsche have potentially delivered the bargain of the year!
I will be driving and enjoying the history, the passion that Porsche always deliver!!
Today has been a good day!
ps - shame about the manual only - I have a Boxster GTS and love the PDK box, but I will enjoy it whatever!

I think a manual Boxster Spyder GT4 will be quite a weekend toy.

Another poster said PDKs were to come along later (I'd be astonished if they didn't) Can you wait? Instant gratification isn't good for the soul...

Cant wait for the PDK, Im 51 and who knows what tomorrow brings!
This manual gearbox stuff - its going to be like driving in the 80's!
re the colour - going to check on google images and the porsche home site pics of bright coloured Porsches before I make a final decision.

Is it me or is this car great value?

Why buy a used 997 gen 1 gt3 when you could have a brand spanking new gt4 with all the latest technology and a manual gearbox. Can't wait to see the gt4 rs.

Congratulations for all those who have actually been able to secure a build slot with there dealer.

Funny, I wouldn't have touched it with a PDK box. Each to their own.

I doubt we will see a PDK in the GT4. They've gone out of their way to stick a manual in it to add another differential to the GT3.

Because you can have this with the best ever engine put in a road car.

Edit to add, I'm not detracting from the GT4' I think it looks great and will be a fantastic car. I can't wait to see one in the flesh.
In fact it's a bit of a shame it keeps getting compared to the 997 GT3.

It's like saying oh look Karlie Kloss is so hot and young that I don't think Salma Hayek is attractive anymore because she's older.

Both good and we would be lucky to have either.

The GT4 hasn't got half of the 'latest technology'...

Paid my £5k deposit.
I'm not sure if I am missing something here, but I can not see the value in the clubsport package, which seems to be a rear cage and harness' for £2.5k or Sport Chrono for £1k, which is a fancy stop watch.
