I've just had an email from my OPC saying that Porsche that PTS on Cayman GT4 is now not available until July 2016 on the 17 model?
Anyone heard anything similar. Must say i'm pretty pi55ed about this.
Or is the OPC pulling a fast one?
I think only new news here is that he thinks Porsche may still be making 981.1 GT4 in July-16.Anyone heard anything similar. Must say i'm pretty pi55ed about this.

Consensus is that production will cease at the end of Q1.
They are basically saying there will be another batch of GT4s along later. So, if you have a deposit down then keep it down if you want to in line to get one at some point in the future. Maybe more bhp and better gearing on the next one.

There is ZERO chance that even if they do still make the 981.1 GT4 in MY17 that it will have either more bhp or different gearing, and there is also ZERO chance that the 981.2 GT4 will be in production by MY17, albeit that it may have those attributes as and when they do make it.Sorry - we are way OT now for the colour thread...

I've gone Carerra White with the medium dark wheels, carbon buckets and lots of interior options.
I think I would have gone Voodoo if I hadn't left it too late.
December delivery
Sounds similar to my fallback colour/spec although I'll probably go with satin black wheels and the CS pack. I think I would have gone Voodoo if I hadn't left it too late.

Also December delivery.
Went to look at some caymans today in various colours and not so much in love with GR anymore but jet black metallic looks great so back to that colour with platinum wheels!problem now is what seats was not over struck on the lwb prefer folding buckets also toying with comfort spec. and would be happy with the standard sport seats at zero cost and lighter and not the electic ones but is that a bad move for the sake of £923 and future proofing the car?
Having driven in the p3 foldings and p11 lw buckets I found the p11s superior....look much better too and only a few hundred dearer than the old seats.
IMO comfort seat GT4s will be in the minority so on that basis if you prefer sports seats just go for it....they will be rarer but won t achieve the premiums a car with buckets will.

Looks no different to flat CW.
White is brighter. Carrara White has a grey hint to it. They are noticeably different to my eyes. Can t understand why anyone would go for silver wheels especially at extra ££ when the standard satin platinum look so much better in particular on a white car imo....each to their own I guess.

Yes mentioned this in a previous post...also the metallic can look a bit cream too.

Silver wheels are a no cost option on GT4. Can t understand why anyone would go for silver wheels especially at extra ££ when the standard satin platinum look so much better in particular on a white car imo....each to their own I guess.
If I'd have managed to wrangle Viper Green I'd have gone for Silver wheels.
