I've struggled with picking a colour but agate seemed the best choice to me and I've seen in a variety of lighting situations. I would have gone sapphire but my 991 was Aqua blue which I prefer and it seemed too similar.
Great! Glad you've got to see it in a range of conditions! I'm sure it will look pretty bloody special!

Are you going black wheels too?

No, have gone old school silver, that's the one but of the spec I am not certain on. The black seemed to lose the design of the wheels. I may get them resprayed in a gloss black.

Also considering the decals in black or silver or a non-porsche stripe down the middle of the car.

If I can get over the additional cost I'm very tempted by Carmine.

Aha

Is there an option to body colour the front lip and rear diffuser?

if you can't get pts it is a valid choice. most people won't spec it because of cost.

just like cream white for the 987 boxster spyder.. if you liked it, how rare was that colour?

It's a colour that looks much better in the flesh. Might have another look at the Carmine Cayman in the showroom tomorrow. The Satin Black wheels suit it.

heres the carmine GTS at sutton opc..... wheels offset leaves alittle to be desired on the rear as the wheel just didn't sit right but the colour combo was so right.. a Gt4 in this will be NUTS. i always said gt silver but this is the colour id have!

Totally agree, it's a GTS colour. Even 3 guys from opc agreed.

Lovely lovely colour though

Does it matter whether it is a 'GTS' colour? I've seen it on Boxster + Cayman GTS and it looks fantastic with satin black wheels. The reason it is 'not a GT4 colour' is perhaps because we haven't 'touched' one yet in that colour scheme. It will look fantastic in that combo.

However, Porsche should really delete Guards and change to Carmine and delete Rhodium and change to GT Silver, stop charging extra for these, and add at least a few new free decent colours to the available palette. It's so hard to choose from the current default set because they are so boring.

Rant off!

Good rant, but retain Guards red.

GTS colour accompanied by GTS interior package... £££££

but seriously, it is a beautiful deep red. If it were metallic i would have fallen in love with it.
but i am not a colour person as I spent the budget on the lithium battery to save 13.5 kg

when i had a white spyder, I did think that it would be more special if it was cream white and deliberated whether i should have paid up to get a unique colour/shade.

think most guys would just take the free GR, so the carmine colour would actually be quite rare due to cost...

i must admit, it is some serious man maths going on.

Black does look terrible with Carmine, but platinum would work well.
