I went for platinum but I've decided to get them painted black satin when the car arrives.. 3 weeks now biggrin
Maybe consider gloss black if you are getting them done rather than satin? Could look even better.

yes agree will look better and perhaps with silver rims as per CaymanR!
I have gone platinum wheels with white metallic the satin black wheels just don't look good to me and I have seen them in the flesh!

Not yet Phooey - thanks for asking. I was invited in to see that GR one today before it went out the door in a sort of Bullseye "Take a look at what you could have won!" scene.

I'm now told again that the prospects are good as there is word that they want to ramp up production and get more cars out. So still a waiting game really.

Black/Black is my current fav.
Hope you get one mate. I'd be surprised if Porsche don't 'find' a few more cars next year once they have fulfilled most of the current orders.

And they'll soon get fed up of you mincing through the showroom floor on a busy Saturday afternoon in your Lycra and fur that they'll be throwing GT4's at you smile

Yes, I've let the peroxide blonde barnet get a bit more out of control and have adopted even tighter fitting lycra since that last shot you highlighted of 'me' lurking behind a DBM GT4 smile

Can't make my mind up on that Gulf Blue. I think DBM has to be one of the biggest surprises of how good it can look - surprised we don't see more Porsche's in DBM - I can imagine a 991 GTS in it would look fabtastic.

I'm still happy with my colour choice of Yellow. Guards Red or DBM would be my 2nd choice. Agate probably 3rd. Then maybe white or black. If PTS then probably Ultra Violet smile

Still undecided on the graphics. Definitely think the bonnet/roof stripe is too much.

Side stripes - yes. Bonnet does look bit tacky. I'm going to try and get P O R S C H E on the wing - like on the 4.0 RS.

Guards Red was the number one choice for my 981 Cayman until I remembered vaguely my brother in law had ordered a 911 in red but sold it shorty afterwards as it turned out to be pink?

Having seen a possible purchase at my OPC in GR, I phoned him and he confirmed it was a brand new 997 he'd ordered in GR when they first came out. He sold it after 4 weeks due to the number of people telling him what a nice PINK car he had!

I argued I'd seen GR in sunshine, gloom, showroom lighting and had never seen any pink to it. He was adamant it was 100% GR. Feeling a little nervous, I went to view a Rhodium car and whilst at Reading OPC with the car's owner (private sale) we were walking through the car park when he said "hey look, a pink Cayman!" And there it was... A Guards Red 981 but with glowing pink highlights in the late afternoon light.

A close shave? I bought the Rhodium one!

Great pics again Phooey. The Gulf Blue does look great with a retro-modern feel to it. That's an oxymoron if ever there was one!

As you know, I've been singing the praises of DBM but not sure I would still go with it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Birch Green, Voodoo Blue and Gulf Orange cars when they arrive. That Gulf Blue though, ummmm doughnuts...

The problem is colours are car model sensitive ie what works on a 911 might not work on a Cayman hence why I went to a car park full of 981 before confirming my choice.whilst I like guards red I understand the pink comments although I would say more washed out red but I think GR works well on a 997.2 but not a 981!
Buts all personal choice I don't like dBM but think silver works well especially gt silver

I saw a DBM 981 the other day and it looked stunning - I would have considered it for my Spyder if it was available.

Rhodium is underrated, but actually most of the colours except the Tom & Jerry yellow look great on these cars IMO.

I've personally never thought Guards to look pink! Still undecided about Rhodium - saw it on a Cayenne and a Pan and thought it looked too bright. GT silver is a tried and tested colour and seems to work on anything.
Tit vs Black wheels on Agate -
