What are peoples thoughts (Spec, mileage, price?)on this one?

Spec is ok, check it's got PSE, no PCM listed either which is a pain, if you're going to have a radio you may as well have a decent one.

Mileage is by far the highest i've seen on an R, read above and decide for yourself whether it bothers you. Its no high in terms of what the engine is capable of, but for re-sale it might present a problem.

Which brings us on to price, I personally think given the lack of much Porsche warranty to speak of and highish mileage that it's probably a bit keenly priced. Pay £35k for that

Anyone running Michelin Pilot Sport Cup's?

If so what sizes?

Lots of chat on this in 'tyres' live now. Same size as OEM recommends surely?

That thread I just had a quick scan read through is mostly about regular premium N rated tyres not the Cup or Cup 2 type tyres.

I don't have an R but I stuck with the regular sizing when using Cup 2s.

be interesting to try 245/275 cup 2's on the platform, the Spyder wheels are wider and will take it ok.

245 on the GT4 up front feel mega on the same 8.5" wheel size.

The other thing with Cup 2 tyres is that the extra cornering grip you get is so much that really you need buckets and probably a CG lock or similar because the regular seats, even if you have the sports seats, simply don't hold you in enough. IMO if you aren't almost falling out the (regular sports) seat running a Cup 2 then you don't really need a Cup 2 as you probably aren't driving fast enough ... I found that despite hiking the backrest up more and coming forward another inch or 2 I was still hanging off the steering wheel.

I've waded through these pages over time and am curious if anyone else has gone down a similar route to mine;
2011 R in Aqua.
Manual with buckets extended leather, a/c and pcm. Spyder wheels with Michelin pilot sport tyres and titanium bolts.
Here,s the interesting bit;
Dms remap, full capristo with 200 cell cats, switchable. K&N air filter, blue brake fluid.
I love it and it brings a smile as soon as I get in it. Switch to open mode and it's awesome. Followed a Gt4 for 11 miles, no apparent difference.
Not raced, tracked or abused, just enjoyed.

Videos I've seen of the Capristo suggest it can be mega loud - how is it when switched to quiet?

Capristo is not for everyone. It has 4 modes. Normal is louder than oem sports exhaust, in a nice way. Open is apparently more Gt3rs which is how the dms tuner likened its sound and rate of travel.
Not been on a dyno. It's supposed to be north of 360bhp and around 300lb/ft. I don't really care, I just love the way it goes and sounds so that's all that matters. Picture is on an earlier posting.
Used to have a R32 which was slightly re-mapped with a Milltek resonated exhaust. I loved the way that went but it's nothing like the Cayman!
