people think I make it up lol but it's been clear for the last 12 months PDK is dead on these cars and I am not just talking about the drive ;-p
Your opinion doesn't make a market.....manuals might be rarer, might be more desireable and might sell quicker, but that does not mean "PDK is dead on this car".......given that there are barely ten to twelve R's for sale currently the PDK/manual spread is irrelevant as it represents about 5% of the market......you may not like PDK on the R, others do. It's as equally pointless as me saying that Peridot cars are unsellable as the colour is vile......Sarnie said:
Cheeeeeeap R;

I'd expect a dealer to be snapping that up and it reappearing in a few weeks..............
That is nice assuming its nothing to hide, there are R for sale at OPC on ph with similar mileage for 45k!http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

but I am stating facts, you are stating a colour your other half don't like, there are NO manual Peridot cars for sale !OPC don't have a Manual Spyder or R for sale in any colour !!
The PDK market for these is now a very small % of buyers out of a very small % of buyers in the 1st place.
It's not "irrelevant" as you put it as the manual cars sell straight away ! hence what's left for sale !

R has been a strange market 2015, prices up and more and more ex GT3 owners in them on PH.
Perfect car still, prob is :-)
For someone who seems to want to distance himself from the GT3 fanboys you seem to sound remarkably similar when it comes to generating hyperbole and hot air over the car and its price in the market. Next thing we know you'll be posting ads (and accompanying ..CR price as expected thread) on ph for phantom cars at ludicrous prices before then declaring them miraculously 'sold' a week or so later. Gt3 owners buying them because they are "cheapish" and Gt3s have gone up in value. If they become expensive then I'm afraid you'll need a whole different breed of buyers.
I don't see them climbing in values like Gt3s. There just isn't pedigree/prestige in a Cayman which may take on a whole new world with the GT categorisation of the GT4.
still great cars

So a bit of a dliemma for me now.
Just been told that I can have a new Boxster Spyder if I want one.
Do I get the new car or keep the CR and mod it?
I'm still leaning toward the latter but having the option the ability to choose my own spec is proving to be a massive distraction, which I didn't think was likely to happen!

I am only stating fact and try to keep it as that, OPC prices are up the last 12moths, not my fault !NO hot air just higher OPC prices in 1025 which I said was strange.
I have kept away from private prices and sales, buyers want cheaper cars, OPC prices are high. who know what is going to happen.

If you buy the new Spyder, won't you want to have Adjustable LCA etc on it ?
