When I spoke to them last month, they said that would adjust the rake for me, no prompting by me either, so it's clearly something they do think about and offer.
odd imo, not that that effects the guy who just had his car done, he has adjustable shocks so they can do the rake anyway (with NO RSS LCA) again for zero £'s
Fair point - very true!

Well I think ive come to the end of the line in terms of my modding my S. Ive spent far more than I should sorting the suspension, intake, exhaust, remap, whilst essentially keeping it looking totally oem. My goal was to make the car as focussed as it possibly could be but still be ok to do long journeys so I wanted to strike a balance. Im 100pct happy with all the mods ive done with the exception of the wevo semi solid transmission mounts which im undecided on. They make a big difference to the tautness of the rear end, akin to stiffening the rear suspension, however the price to pay is a transmission whine in the drone zone around 3000rpm. At first I didn't mind it but on longer journeys especially when very tired it does start to grate. I am thinking about switching to carnewal gearbox mounts which seem to use a slightly stiffer urethane than oem or alternatively putting the gbox mounts back to oem and running a function first engine mount insert. MrD is this what you are running and are you using the track or street version?

I left the rear mounts standard and run the yellow Function 1st centre mount, NO noise using it. but you can feel it working on direction changes.

ah that's great thanks, the yellow one is the street version which is the softer of the two they offer, I may give that a try.

I now have OE gearbox mounts with the hydro elastic changed to poly material. No noise or vibration intrusion.

Here's a picture of the standard ones that came off my car

An here's a pic of the uprated poly ones:

edc can you confirm where you got them from, do you send off your existing mounts and they fill them for you?

I got them off a fellow modder on boxa.net He had some old mounts in. He can do exchange but I kept my old mounts for the small cost of that. Pm me and I'll put you in touch. He does a few copies of the popular mods for much less obviously eg under drive pulley and rear toe links to name but a few.

Amazing how such relatively minor changes can have such an impact visually, that looks crap!

Very nice, personally on such a car i wouldn't dream of 2 year gaps between services, aka only 2 oil changes in 33000 miles. But i guess thats following the service guide to the letter. Got to be picky if your spending that kind of dough!

Where does one get the netting that hooks onto the clips behind the rear seats please?

It was standard equipment, so if you're missing it then likely previous owner snuggled it away because he wanted 2 in his next car!

eBay or OPC dependant on how deep your pockets are feeling

Interestingly (?) Kia who have the longest warranty - 7 years or 100k miles recommend oil changes at 10k miles for petrols (20k for diesels) and Toyota (5 year /100k warranty) likewise recommend 10k with synthetic oil. That said, since cold starts are the main wear and oil deterioration factors, it doesn't seem unreasonable for a service schedule that genuinely reflects the type of use to extend the period - as BMWs do. Unfortunately Porsche's don't.

They probably have to make their money via service revenue rather than car sales. I can't imagine many people are taking out significant finance on them either which nets the dealer or manufacturer much margin.
