Who is the TDO for the November date?
It's a Javelin day - http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.p...

You can book direct through them, or go through trackdays.co.uk - http://www.trackdays.co.uk/book/cartrackday/8744/

It was an absolute steal at £99, but it's still a bargain at £129.
I did a day with them back in May. It was a good, well-organised session. £99 is a bargain though!

Which means I've got four months to convince you to take your Cayman R for a spin (not literally) on track :-)

Haha, you can try :P

I'll probably aim to bring the Clio along to this one. Not done Bedford since a lot of the upgrades. Finally give you a passenger lap in the tin can haha

Hi there, thanks, really bad at composing ads, if you look carefully at the ad, the second picture is of my other car, it has Pirelli tyres and black washer nozzles, trying to remove it somehow, thanks...

...the other thing is, I cannot place my ad on Autotrader as I am only allowed 4 ads per year otherwise I will have to advertise under trade, that is so unfair...

Do you guys all garage your R's or anyone leave them out in the elements/under carports?

Having got up close and personal to one a couple of weeks ago I deemed it was too damn gorgeous and minty looking to leave it outside, I wouldn't sleep at night! My garage is already full with a classic 911 and Ducati so no option unless I build a garage extension and add 10k to the cost of my R !
But then I know any modern car should really be able to sustain the outdoors, albeit getting a little grubby and need more regular washing.
Anyone suffered detrimentally leaving a modern sports car outdoors?

I leave 3 of my cars on the pavement immediately outside the house but under all weather Porsche covers, when you run out of garage space then you have no choice...

I leave mine outside. I don't even have a cover, but am looking to get one actually.

I regularly check it for bird/insect poo and clean it etc

Are these covers any good please?

Do they make the car sweat? Or can water get through?

How much do they cost?

Thanks

Hi, the original covers from Porsche are good, they start from £200 onwards, for my Cayman R cars I have bought the new shape Cayman 981 versions as they are slightly larger, if I had bought the correct 987 cover, then it is too tight and causes slight marks on the paint top coat that takes effort to polish off. Lastly, their protection against the elements is 95% in my opinion, only slight moisture during heavy rainfall creeps through...

Thanks mate.

What about bird droppings? Would that seep through?

The guy at Porsche did say the specific cover was a little tight and could cause marks on the corners of the car. So going for the bigger car cover seems like a good idea.

These covers are really resilient against bird droppings and other contaminants, during really icy condition the cover may stick to the car at places, but less with a larger cover and lastly they are theft proof, so you can leave them for ages unattended...

Did you compare them with these http://www.carscovers.co.uk/porsche-cayman-car-cov... ? Even the top of the range one is cheaper, but sounds very good - either of the top two versions sound quite good actually.
