PDK and engine made of chocolate no ta, people on their 3rd engine after 10.000 miles?

Would love a 997.1 GT3 manual but train firmly left the station me thinks. Its not worth twice a CR.
For some reason I had it in my head the RS was manual, but you're right....burst my bubble.

997 it is!

I have switched to urethane transmission mounts on my gen 1 CS. If anyone wants to buy the Wevo semi solid mounts I took off drop me a pm. They fit all 986 and 987 boxster and cayman, even the cayman r although apparently the factory R mounts come with a small sachet of fairy dust to sprinkle on. Details here:

What does chrono give you on a manual besides the obvious? I understand on PDK cars it gives you down shift blips in sport plus or am I dreaming that?

Sharper throttle map and backs off the traction I believe . I never drive without it on in my manual .

I use Sport all the time but it hangs onto the gears too long in auto on sport plus. I noticed the traction control allows a hip wiggle not much more.

are original spec options still retro available from OPC's for CR's? ie if you wanted an alacantra wheel, is that still possible? PSE etc Sure the PCM is, albeit 2.5k ! and any other options?

Alcantara bits are available as a retro-fit . Off the top of my head around £650 per item for a steering wheel, storage bin lid and gear lever+gear stick........

cheers Roadrunner, is there a 'shopping list' somewhere of options that can still be got from the OPC?

Also any alternate sources regarding alacantra trimming? Maybe someone offers an aftermarket service for trimming wheels and doorcards etc to a high spec that doesn't have OPC tax applied ;-) ?

I picked a few alcantara items out of the online Cayman catalogue (available as a pdf) and asked my local OPC for prices. I've stuck with leather........
