You've got a good spec there, all the right bits covered for a "pure" GTS experience. Unlike myself you've been much more disciplined with ticking boxes. You were definitely right staying with the GTS interior of alcantara and leather rather than opting for the no-cost full leather which completely spoils the GTS exclusive interior. Congratulations!
Thanks. Although not the biggest set of options we are pleased with the final choices.

The one option we mused about a lot was manual vs. PDK. We opted for manual for the "true" sports car experience. Our 997 turbo was manual, our black edition Boxster was PDK. We just felt with the manual you are more in touch with the car. No right or wrong here just personal choice.

I remember the turbo's clutch being so light. Can anyone with a manual BGTS confirm the clutch pedal is light too? I seem to remember it has hydraulic assistance?

Thanks

It is illegal in France, Belgium as well. I have a Tom Tom which Imuse when out and about in my wife's car and it is hugely inferior than the PCM system. Same goes for the navigation with Apple.
It is not illegal in France to display danger zones which is what the latest tomtoms and garmins (which I have) do. Pocket GPS World don't mention Belgium - and I regard them as the most definitive site on this subject, so I'm not sure where that information comes from.

I agree that for navigation the display on the PCM is very very good and better than any stand-alone device I have seen - but so it should be at the price. But not to do speed cams or personalised POIs is a big drop off as far as I am concerned. My Garmin does everything I want - albeit with a poorer display - and quite a lot more than PCM, including telephone integration, speed cams, personalised POIs, trip logging, PC integration, lifetime map updates (including the US) and traffic for less than a tenth of the price of the PCM alone.

All that said I was keen to have PCM because a sat nav stuck to the windscreen on a Porsche looks tacky - but it doesn't stop me being irritated that I have to have two devices to perform the functions that one I ALREADY have can perform.

Tomtom and Garmin have agreed it with the French authorities see http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_... and https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/shop-by-accesories...
