Why not? It's a better drive than any other car I can think of that would be bearable for lots of miles. Barges are for old men.
I love my cayman but the tyre noise and ride quality would get to me with that sort of mileage.

Panamera instead please!

I did 85K in my 987 2.7 Boxster in 3 years from new. Same again in my 2.9 gen 2 cayman. Now got 48K in my 981 Cayman so far.......

Tried the 'two car' thing some years ago with a new E46 330ci sport and a Lotus Elise.....much prefer one car that does it all!

Very personal thing - but with PASM and 18 or 19 inch wheels, ride quality in a 981 is exceptional for the type of car it is and well up with any vaguely sporting saloon. Tyre noise is, I'd agree another matter - and certainly on the margins of acceptability for a long distance car. P Zeros (mine are 19") can be very noisy and I'm going to try some 18" Goodyear F1s to see if they make a significant difference in this (or any other) department.

I moved from Contis to the Eage F1 on a Golf a few years back and the reduction in tyre noise was incredible
