Semi solid engine AND tran mounts, makes my ears hurt just thinking about it!
I know I thought about that. But I've been assured that the street version is not too intrusive.
My wevo ss tran mounts will be up for sale shortly as the nvh is a bit much for me (and I'm running oem engine mount). Ive been asking first function (aka the MrD mounts) about a replacement using the urethane solution and they are advising not to do both the engine and tran (even in the softer 70a) if at all sensitive to NVH and i think i am going with just the 70a tran mounts. I would have gone with MrD suggestion of just doing the engine mount in 70a but i already replaced that with a brand new oem mount and so i need to renew my oem tran mounts. Its worth talking to them about it, they can also do a custom pour so if you wanted to try for e.g. 70a tran mount with 60a engine mount they can do it.
I'm not sure who the manufacturer ot the mounts I've been told about is - I'll find out and let you know. I might well get in touch with first function - what is the noise like on the Wevo? Is it a buzzing sound that just won't go away or an annoying whine or something else?
The noise on the wevo mounts is only aggravating at about 3000rpm in the drone zone, its a transmission whine is the best I can describe it, but on long journeys or where you are coasting at that rev range, in conjunction with a noisy exhaust, also sometimes noisy tarmac it can be very irritating. This is why your idea of doing mods slowly is so important. You have to make changes then get used to them to see if you like them. Case in point my carnewal decat rear exhaust, when I first got it I was disappointed it was quite tame, but then after a couple of months of different types of journeys I realised it was perfect. I started out with the idea of making a stripped out pared down mini gt3, lowered susp, lightweight, buckets, half cage, lots of noise and character but after gradually moving towards it I realised I was chasing an idea, not something that I actually wanted in reality, which is a very fast well handling road car that looks completely oem, has some character and rawness, but at the same time balanced with some comfort.

thumbup thanks, very good to know. I Would like something a little more track focused but don't want to ruin it on the road.

The gearbox mounts I have are probably the compromise you are looking for.

edc i spoke to your contact about refilling the mounts for me but he never got back to me so i ended up ordering the function first ones instead. It seems your ones are half filled with 80a, so i suspect they may be slightly softer than fully filling. I have ordered the function first 70a tran mounts which i guess will be pretty much the same as you, but either way would prefer to err on the side of softness (you have to ask for 70a otherwise function first will send 80a).

Yes. There are two sides to fill and is specifically wanted only one of the larger sides filled.

Jim did tell me he will email you about a day after I sent him your details.

I just checked the Function First website. It's the same thing I have except the void round the stud I didn't have filled. Their price is much higher though ...

Great choice and a worthy addition to an amazing fleet.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have mine!

The car is immaculate, and the only others around are either black or PDK neither of which I wanted.

White is the colour for this car I think, anyway, looking forward to some fun.

Could have saved yourself £2k and got a newer, lower mileage spyder if it's the one from TOP555

I've sent you a PM.

For info - the standard mounts don't have the void around the stud filled in. I opted not to have that part filled too so just the 'other' side poly filled. I can barely tell any difference in terms of harshness, vibration, noise etc as it is now so if I was doing it again I would probably go and have the stud side filled too.If you look at the space around the stud it is so small anyway. When I first fitted them I could tell and feel a discernible difference, but like most of my mods, you get used to it and now the new feeling is the new norm.

Like backup of a dealer and warranty at this sort of price, plus that's only just come on!
