This tyre has only clocked up about 3500 miles, but I fear it's for the bin, due to the location of the nail. Can anyone confirm?

It can, but not at your standard place, needs reinforcing, I binned one recently that had the same

You will be very lucky if you can find anyone to repair that. I personally wouldn't have it done even if I could find someone to do it.

That's in the side wall not across the tread so, as I understand, is not repairable.

just had to replace one of my rear tyres with 6.9mm still on it. same problem
