There may be another soon . Decisions - Decisions .

Same miles , rarer still and hasn't done any laps of Goodwood . Maybe I should try £60k . ( only kidding )

Advert belongs in the 'more hype and plain silliness' thread with all the nonsense about mature drivers blah blah and is it me or could you fit a London bus into the wheel arch gaps. Looks odd.

"Being sold from a private collection to make garage space for a GT4".

A private collection of one?

Hate to be that guy but 997 GT3 RS 4.0 was Evo car of the year. Never heard of drivers being talked of in wine terms before. I hope it doesn't catch on.

gently driven and rev range 2 don't exactly match.

very ambitious price.

It is not that far off from a cayman S really.

well its got low miles going for it and looks immaculate. Hope it cant sell at that price though.
The one that gets my goat at the moment is the Aberdeen OPC 'red' pdk that's up at £47k with a duff-ish spec, advertised as a 'manual'...for over a month now.

Just humming a certain Yazz song over my morning coffee reading this.

To my eye that's a 4-year old previous generation Cayman for the price of - a brand new, up-to-date Cayman S.

Still, it's not my money.

If you want active yaw control and heated seats I guess there's the answer.

what's a 993 RS then at £350k

The thing is the 981 is not a drivers drive, it's a nice car, but drive an R and you feel like YOU are driving.
I would NOT swap my cars for the 981 non GT cars, nor would many owners hence the prices people pay for a better drive.

To complete the farce in pure ph fashion, all we need now is the owner of said car to post an extended essay here as to how its a 'comparative bargain' to other pork, extol the virtues of it being a lightweight limited run car, values will only ever go one way etc etc, before proceeding to log back in under a number of separate user names and post profusely to basically completely agree with himself. You couldn't make it up!

I don't doubt this will sell at £50k at some point personally. Just not now.

Perhaps in 6 months when you can no longer get hold of a F6 981. Then this would start to make more sense.

Whilst I fully accept the R is a great drivers car, for this kind of money most people would buy new. That just leaves the demographic that are buying the car for its legacy and its analogue nature. And most likely want to collect it. Could be a long wait.

Personally I would to find the extra cash and buy a CGTS (assuming I didn’t have one already) and or deep a little deeper into my pockets and get a flipped GT4.

Otherwise you may as well buy a cheaper R example if you intend to run it as a DD or just for weekend/track fun.
