It's not snobbery, it's a bit of fun! What I find hilarious is how offended some people are by the very thought of a personalised plate!
MOST people are having fun. One post stood out for me to confirm a certain snobbishness. My wife doesn't like private plates much but I've just bought a C4 xxx plate for my "new" 04 plate (the SHAME) C4S smile

GT04 RAF

My E15 RAF plate was a contender to go on but I would have been horrified with people thinking I was driving a car from the 80s wink
Is P155 FLP not available?
Sadly not.

GT04 GAY was free in case we have any pillow biters amongst us... / happy people

GT08 FUK for those that really don't care. Always a funny topic. Can never decide if the 'real' snobbery is from those using the plates or those that look down their noses at them?

Thanks for the comment David but it wasn't £250.

DVLA plates start from £250, but those which have a meaning, word, name etc are priced higher by the DVLA (see examples below).

I picked the plate before knowing if I'd get a GT4 or Spyder slot and wasn't as fortunate as some.

If you're not interested (or just upset you missed it) then feel free to ignore. smile

This used to be mine...

Now I'm stuck with V8 DJC (my initials) which is no good on a Porsche now is it!?

My wife, Catrina, has C4 TGO.

Actually, thinking about it, she could get a 981.2 Cayman and stick C4 TGO on that.

I guess F4 TGO would be good too (Flat 4 Turbo, GO), especially if you run a branch of Fat Fighters.

...I do like a nice bit of cake...

I dont mean to be judgemental, but those plates are utter ste. Cringeworthy.

But if they make you happy then who cares?

That betrays a real lack of knowledge of Porsche history. There are plenty of 'real' non-6 cylinder Porsches.
